Absolutely egregious prices for pieces I’m fairly certain aren’t vintage. Me and my partner dress Alternatively and my partner got followed around the shop by the owner. We have never stolen anything in our lives. We were really excited to visit this shop in our local area, only to be met with glaring eyes from the staff. After making my partner so uncomfortable that after we left, they ended up crying. To top it off, absolutely no indication of sizes ANYWHERE and everything is so packed into the rails that you aren’t able to look for anything without it falling to the floor. We will not be coming back.
I may have reviewed this place before - at first I thought it was expensive, but now I don't think it is considering the unique items they've sourced from Italy and Europe and the cost of overheads going up. Also other high-quality vintage sells at similar prices; and it is still cheaper than buying overinflated pricing on Depop and Vinted where you don't even know if items are vintage if they hide the labels. I love the selection and always find something different. Last time was a hand made maxi skirt and gypsy top. Menswear is always abundant too. Staff are always so nice so I hope they are paid well and don't get a hard time from customers complaining.
Really helpful staff. I needed help finding matching clothes as this is something I struggle with being autistic. The lady was super helpful, found me two items to match the jacket, and made my shopping experience much more pleasant. Seems to be an inclusive place that welcomes diversity ❤️ Thanks 🙏🏼
Extremely gutted with all of the recent visits I’ve made here. Not only have the prices increased drastically, but they are now selling Shein pieces labelled as “vintage” and at extortionate prices. Have attached photos. Staff is pretty friendly but probably won’t be returning now as this was final straw. Do better, please!
It's alright but a lot of the clothes are damaged in some way like broken zips, missing buttons, on one of the corsets the padding was disintegrating and got black dust all over me. Despite this they're still really expensive, we're talking £22 average even when it's damaged. There is some cute stuff but it's way overpriced in my opinion, not all of it's true vintage either. They're selling a miss Selfridge beaded dress with missing beading for £25 I think, you can find 3 different listings for the same one on vinted all under £10.
