This was a great class! He was enjoyable to talk to, patient, told some great stories and taught us really well! Glad I was able to spend my wife’s birthday doing something I’ve always wanted to do thanks to tv and movies. Can’t wait to pick up our bowls!

Fantastic experience!! Me and my boyfriend went for a fun date and had the best time. James is a great instructor and extremely helpful for beginners. The type of person who gets along with everyone! Was awesome to hear his stories about his travels and years of experience with pottery. Lovely studio and great class, would absolutely recommend 👍

We loved coming here! James was amazing and very patient with us especially as first timers. If you’re looking to do pottery definitely come here - he gives you fundamentals to actually learn. It’s a great date night or group activity!

We came here for a pottery class, our first class in spinning clay. We were celebrating a birthday and it was such a neat experience! James was a great teacher, super knowledgeable and had some great analogies to describe the process for first timers. James had a whole house set up as a studio to teach and about 10 stations for students, there was also a showroom with some of his work. He had studied under a few masters and internationally. We made 2 bowls in the class and picked up the finished pieces a few weeks later, totally usable (dishwasher and microwave safe) and memorable! Definitely recommend this to anyone for a fun night, date night, gift, for anyone... creative or not. It was also byob!

I went with my girlfriend last month and we had such a great experience at Oak Cliff Pottery! The studio itself has a really warm and inviting vibe, and our instructor, James, made the class even better. He was super helpful, patient, and a great teacher—he explained everything clearly and made sure everyone in the class felt comfortable no matter their skill level. We both had a lot of fun learning and left with pieces we’re really proud of. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a fun and creative date activity or just want to try something new!
