My child has been going here for classical boxing lessons for the last year. He loves it and coach Patrick is great. He is very involved. My son is learning a lot and gets great exercise.
Coach Patrick has been an incredible influence on our child. Since training at OC Boxing Gym, we’ve seen a noticeable increase in his self-confidence, mental strength, and willingness to challenge themselves. Coach Patrick creates a structured and disciplined environment that helps kids stay focused, but he’s also very encouraging and patient, which makes a big difference at this age. Our child has become more confident not only in boxing, but in how they carry themselves — speaking up more, trying new things, and pushing through moments of frustration instead of giving up. Coach Patrick emphasizes effort, resilience, and proper technique, helping kids build confidence through small, achievable wins. Safety is always a priority, with close supervision and age-appropriate drills. Classes are consistent, well organized, and supportive, which helps kids feel secure and motivated. Highly recommend OC Boxing Gym and Coach Patrick to any parent looking to build their child’s confidence in a safe, positive, and disciplined setting.
Coach Patrick is a great coach and a great motivator. My son's boxing has drastically improved I HIGHLY recommend him . Hes very patient with the kids and take time with kids to help then develop their skills while boosting their confidence.
I would highly recommend training at the OC boxing gym. I took my son in for a private lesson with Coach Sean and was impressed with how Sean explained the details of the sport and guided him through his first lesson. He is a great teacher in breaking down the fundamentals of the sport of boxing and I would recommend anyone looking to get into the sport to take a lesson with Coach Sean. Highly recommended!!
Ernesto Vasquez is my son’s boxing instructor. Ernesto is incredibly patient and understanding, especially when working with beginners like my son. His teaching style is clear and encouraging, which has helped my son feel comfortable and confident as he learns the basics of boxing. Ernesto creates a positive and supportive environment where my son feels safe learning and making mistakes. He breaks down complex movements into manageable steps and offers constructive feedback to help my son improve. The progress I've seen in my son's skills, confidence, and overall fitness has been impressive. The OC Boxing gym itself is also a great environment. Everyone is friendly and welcoming, the other instructors, the owners, and other boxers. I’ve seen men, women, and children of all ages in the gym.
