Great place. Employees are cool. Food is great and affordable
I just had myself a Matador Wrap with curly fries and it was very good, especially adding a lot of vegetables inside the wrap along with the chicken too. The one guy from Italy restaurant has some very good Italian food, even know they cross out the prices on the pizzas and many other items for unknown reason and the place needs a little bit clean and patch up or 2, at least the service took their time, when I was thinking about ordering something to try out and eat. Good location next to the university.
From out of town working, thought I’d give it a try . I’ve worked in Italy and had lots of pizza there. This one guy may be from Italy. But his Pizzas are very far from it . Crust makes 70 percent of a pizza. To doughy. And now I know. timely manner of delivery was good.
Got the 6 oz boneless wings and all meat calzone. Was just alright imo. Calzone isn't too bad of a deal for the price. Boneless wings definitely not worth the price though. Walked by here for 4 years as a graduate student and never tried it until the end of my time. Wasn't missing out on much all those years to say the least. I will say the pizza available by the slice out on the counter looked pretty dry and lifeless, which is why I got the calzone. Maybe their other pizzas when fresh are better?
I came in for a slice and left with a large pie to go. Truly amazing authentic Italian cuisine and it's obvious when you walk in and the aroma seduces you to the counter. Chef Tony makes each pasta dish individually with care. The pizza is absolute ambrosia and it is definitely because of the "Awesome Sauce," made from scratch in-house and the hand-stretched dough becomes the perfectly balanced crispy-chewy foundation for each masterpiece. It does get very busy... like, insanely busy, during the school year. The one guy behind the counter said that after Texas Tech events they have regularly had 3,000 people served in 2 hours. I saw what I thought was a huge beautiful pizza that camel out of the oven and went right into the rubbish bin. He told the dough stretcher it was overcooked, make another one. Quality seems to be a top priority.
