Good place for boarding overall. The cage our bird in was on the small side but still happy with the service. Staff very friendly and accommodating.
Paws Claws and Beaks are truely exceptional. I was initially apprehensive in taking my 10 yr Kelpie special dog to board for the first time. The care, attention, service and compassion alleviated my apprehension and the staff / facilities are amazing. After the last visit, the dog could not stop smiling on the way home! Thank you, Paws, Claws and Beaks for the wonderful experience, we look forward to visiting you again soon.
They looked after my 8 month old Labrador puppy so well when I was overseas for 2 weeks
I put my galah into this place for 4 weeks. After comming home he wasn't lively like he was when he was put in there and had lost weight. Soon after he stoped eating and drinking contacted the vet of unusual pet vet and discovered he had toxic poisoning. He spent a week in the vet hospital and since then has been on 30 injection trying to rid the toxicity these are givern every 3 days over the last three and a half months. They had him in a light colour cage which could have been painted with toxic paint. I reported them to the RSPCA and a woman went there came back saying place was clean but she didn't inspect the light old looking cages. This has cost well over $5000 .soon sammy will be tested again and I will collect his x rays as proof. This owner woman tried to put the blame back on me . They might be ok with dogs but certainly not with the reviews on birds .they have young people careing for animals .who quiet often don't pick up on a sick animal. The owner also didn't approve of the vet I took sammy to who are proper bird and reptile vets she ran them down . There's no good reviews from people I've spoken to. They never looked after my bird properly .as after being there for 4 weeks why has he come back sick .I haven't finished with this yet. Collecting all the evidence. I wouldn't trust them with anything.spoke to a woman at the vets this morning who put in 2 dogs she said they came out looking like they were drugged. She was told they were hard to handle. Sammy has one more injection to go befor he's x rayed again .this has cost lots and I will never recommend them .how do we know these reviews arnt made up .if anything wrong she puts the blame back on us.and over rides what you say .good one woman.
We recently left our dog at Paws, Claws and Beaks Retreat for three weeks while we were away. During that time, our dog became unwell and needed veterinary care. The retreat contacted us, and we promptly paid over the phone for the treatment. However, when we later requested the invoice for the vet visit, we were told they don’t deal with that. They provided us with a vet’s number that turned out to be incorrect, as our dog hadn’t even been treated there. Only after checking our credit card statement did we identify the actual hospital. When we reconfirmed this with the retreat, the response was very dismissive – we were told it’s not their responsibility to keep records of our dog’s care, that they only acted as a “taxi,” and then the call was abruptly ended. While we appreciate that they did take our dog to the vet when he was unwell, the lack of transparency, wrong information provided, refusal to assist after the fact, and poor customer service left us very disappointed. As pet owners, we expected clear communication and accountability, especially when it comes to our dog’s health. Just to mention we tried this for the second time and it ended up making our dog sick twice. If you really care don't leave your pets here.
