Penn Bookstore is a great space. It’s very large, well organized, and having a Starbucks inside is definitely a plus. It’s a convenient and enjoyable place to browse, study, or grab a drink. That said, I’m taking off stars because of an interaction near closing time. While several women and I were waiting near the women’s restroom (which was temporarily closed for cleaning), a bookstore attendant came over and told us we needed to leave because the bathroom was closed and the store was closing. However, the store did not actually close for another 20 minutes. I needed to use the restroom and briefly stepped away, but when I returned a few minutes later, the bathroom was open and available. It felt unfair to ask customers to leave early, especially in a store that sells food and drinks, under the premise that the restroom was closed when that closure was only temporary. I hope restroom access and closing-time communication are handled more fairly, clearly and consistently in the future.

Just about everything you need daily you can find at the penn bookstore. It has a Starbucks upstairs. A lot students coming and studying there too.

They closed the computer section after COVID, so there is only a limited section for laptops and other computer accessories. However the actual bookstore and clothing area still remains one of best for a school bookstore. I love reading many different genres while having some Starbucks on the second floor.

bookstore with basically anything you need for your dorm room. needed a lamp for my room and to my suprise, the penn bookstore had them. they also have a starbucks and food inside otherwise its a great blast of air con in the crazy humid philly summers
