It is nice to discover that honesty, transparency, and service still exist in 2025! I had a 40 year Elk comp roof installed (by another good, local roofing company) in 2006. For the past 2 years, I have been plagued by a plethora of sales people knocking on my door offering painting services, solar panels, window washing, and . . . you guessed it . . . a roof replacement. The roofing sales people have all advised me that my roof is worn and needs to be replaced. I don’t know how to tell if my roof is near end of life (short of water leaking into the house). So, I called the roofing company that installed my existing roof and they do not provide roof inspections. HOWEVER, they recommended that I contact Perrenoud Roofing!!! When one local, quality roofing company recommends another local roofing company (staking their reputation on the referral), you know they believe that I will receive a quality service. And, I most certainly did. Tyler S. came to the house the day after I called. Tyler was knowledgeable, forthright and personable. He inspected the entire roof and advised me that there had been some mild loss of the granules on the shingles, but everything else looked good. He estimated that my roof would easily last another 10 years, but said he would be happy to come back in 5 for a re-check. Since I have an architectural roof, he advised me that my next roof would need to be a tear off. Installing over existing shingles can void the new shingle warranty. Do you want to know what I was charged for this excellent service? NOTHING! Do you know what it was worth to me? PEACE OF MIND! Every single roofing company would like to draw in more business and they can do so honestly or dishonestly. Perrenoud Roofing provided honest, sound advice that was in MY best interest. You can rest assured that when I need to have my roof replace, I am calling them. (And, I am well-prepared to deal with the next roofing sales person who knocks on my door providing false information!)
While I am happy with the product and installation. My Azek deck and railings were damaged during the tear off of our old roof. Three boards had to be completely replaced as there were chunks missing out of them, and 14 others were scratched from dragging material across them and using a snow shovel to move material around. It has now been over a month since I advised them of the damage. They had somebody come out and look at it, and I presented them the invoice and proof of payment that I had to pay to fix my deck. All I've gotten is the run around for several weeks. Now I can't get a response at all. Unfortunately, I will now have to explore other options for recovering my losses. 5/15 Update: The owner initially demanded I remove my review in exchange for being reimbursed for the damages. I refused, but they have now finally reimbursed me for the initial costs. The time I had to spend over the past 2 months fighting to get this resolved is ridiculous. Final update 7/24 You had been back from your vacation for a week when I reached out a second time to ask somebody to get back to me (again). I was told, "Our production manager will call you." More time passes, and then he comes out and looks at it. More time passes with no word . Then you're on vacation again. When all was said and done, it took way too long to address this issue. Communication is key, and if I had received callbacks or responses to my text messages, I probably would have allowed more time before I found my own contractor. Regarding the contract, your contract specifically, states that you're not responsible for damage to driveways, sidewalks and flower beds, this was my expensive Azek deck and I explained to you that I was not comfortable with roofers, installing and voiding the warranty for my deck. The staff was polite and friendly, the guys were very clean and friendly with our dogs. They went over our yard at least 5 times, that I saw, with there magnets to make sure no nails were left to hurt us or animals. They were also the best priced!!! I won't need them for years, but I will recommend them for years.
We are vary happy with our new roof. We did lots of bids before picking Perrenoud to do the roof. We were not the most trusting. But when perrenoud left after the bid we just knew they were the ones to do the job. They did not disappoint. They knew we were concerned and they went beyond 5 stars. They gave us a great roof at a fair price. They were not the highest price and they weren't the lowest. Our experence with Perrenoud was fair ,respectable and trust worthy. We highly recommend.
