Excellent dog trainer. Can’t recommend enough with his expert advice, handling and no frills approach. My cocker has come on such a long way with learning to walk to heel (he pulled like mad before), his recall is spot on and the last little thing left to do is manage his impulse control which Peter has given me tips to work on and separation anxiety. One happy dog and owners. What also sets his above the rest is if I send him videos of our work together whether in the garden or park or pavement walking, he provides advice and feedback accordingly I am so grateful to Peter he’s changed our life including our cocker and 3 young children in what is a busy and hectic life & household. It is though imperative that you as dog parents be motivated to put in the work otherwise expert training tips by Peter will not work. If I can do it with three kids with walks at 6am in the morning and evenings you can !!! I am so grateful for my 121 sessions with Peter. I have really struggled with my labr pulling on the lead on walks. Peter showed me and my family exactly how to train to correct this and within minutes had our dog walking beautifully. Peter took time to observe our dog and our own behaviours to theb offer advice on how to help improve things at home. He explained everything really clearly and in a way that I could understand how if I work on a few things at home as well as whilst walking, we would have an even more content and engaged dog. Peter took the time to really help build my confidence to put my learnings into practice and within no time, I was walking with a dog that didn't pull me around and was really enjoying the time outside together. I'm really excited to keep up with the training and continue to move forward I'm a positive way. I cannot believe the incredible difference in our dog with just a few hours with Peter. We came across Peter on a Google search and frankly, we chose the best there is! Our 1yr old Lab had regressed into adolescence and walking, recall and certain behaviour had become challenging. At 35kg, and me being a small frame, I struggled to walk him and was pulled on every walk. Our first session with Peter was the most amazing experience. In that first session, we were given a dog that walked effortlessly on a slip lead (and continues to do so). I have control and no longer get anxious at the prospect of walks. Another two further sessions and Peter has shown us house hold behaviours to work on and also play. If you put the work in when he’s left, you’re really onto a winner. Overall, he’s brilliant. His nature, manner, knowledge and calmness is all encompassed in his training. Thank you Peter, we will see you soon for more of your amazing training sessions. Xx
I called Peter to help train my 19 month German Shepherd male who has been dragging us a lot, barking mad, and overall suffering anxiety. I wanted to share our incredible experience with Peter at P.E.S. Dog Training. We have a lovely one-year-old male labrador, Chase, who had some challenging behaviours despite his lovely nature. We originally wanted help with lunging at other dogs and jumping up at visitors. Like many dog owners, we’d spent nearly a year using positive-only training methods and countless hours on YouTube and reading training books. We’d been to puppy classes, dog training classes, and even positive-only gun dog training groups. We’d gotten our dog so far, but we had plateaued. That's when we found Peter and his balanced approach to dog training. Peter's philosophy is very effective. He showed us how to focus on our dog more generally to take care of more than just the issues we contacted him about. He uses positive reinforcement where appropriate but also showed us how to make Chase accountable for his actions without any harsh treatment. His methods are clear, fair, and fun, which made the whole training process enjoyable for Chase and us. The results have been nothing short of amazing. Our dog is more content at home and on walks. He knows what’s expected of him and is much happier because of that. We've gained so much confidence to take Chase to more places. We no longer worry about controlling unwanted behaviours because we have a clear method to follow. The change in Chase's behaviour is noticeable, even by visitors to our house and people we stop to talk to on our walks, and it's all thanks to Peter's guidance and expertise. Thanks, Peter!
