Ambiance is stunning and food is fire. Everything about the short rib boneless pho the noodles, the meat, and especially the broth hit. Will definitely be back here. Always thought the hole in the walls were the best but this place starting to make me rethink and give fancy spots a chance.
Great interior. Cozy but modern. Service is fast and snappy as a noodle shop should be imo; at least concerning their taking our orders. But interestingly two tables got served before us that ordered after us… Small menu but they know what they’re doing. The prices are a dollar or two higher than you’d think for similar short rib pho. The pho tastes great. Good clarity and clean beefy flavor. It’s good broth that they don’t try to cover up with an abundance of fish sauce and sugar Drinks are the only thing I find a bit too high of price. They are good but $7 is steep! The matcha is wonderfully floral and has perfect sweetness, the egg foam coffee adds a complimentary custard decadence to an already traditionally heavily flavored viet coffee in Spring rolls are just okay. To me spring rolls are only as good as the sauce since most places don’t include herbs anymore; and this sauce is just okay: some peanut and hoisin flavor but not much else. Lost a star here Wings are great! Excellent example of fusion food to me: the chile ginger gives a tangy snap to the sweet wings while the coconut ginger is cooling and satisfying with a pretty prominent coconut flavor. Well fried and sauced!
This was the perfect rainy day meal! James helped us and he had the best energy. The place is cute and staff is super helpful. The broth was very light and soothing. I usually don’t like rice noodles but loved these. All the meats in the pho nom were amazing too. It’s a huge portion so could definitely share with someone!
I was so excited to try this place because everything i have has so far in this plaza has been amazing. We walked in but they seemed to only have two people working. One yoing man at the counter that didnt acknowledged us and one girl sitting at a table on her laptop? Not sure if she worked there or not but the young man kept stopping to talk to her. The inside of the restaurant was decorated very beautifully with greenery and light signs that made it welcoming but it was also pretty small inside. After 5 minutes I just walked up ans asked if we could sit anywhere and he said yes. We sat down and waited about 10 minutes before the young man brought us waters. And another 10 minutes for him to come take our order. During this time he sat another group of people next to us ans took our chopsticks, straws ans napkins container and put it on there table.. another group came in and were sat in front of us. For drinks we ordered Lychee Lotus and the Pomelo Bloom. Both drinks were lightly sweetened in their own way and had good flavor. For food we ordered the Pho Nom and the Pho Short rib and Meatball. The pho was brought to the table with no broth in it, just the meats, noodles onions and green onions which all were really high quality and delicious. The young man walked out of the kitchen with pur order and I guess the table who sat down in front, 20 minutes after us ordered the same thing because he served them first.. I want to be very honest, this usually happens to me in restaurants when I am not the ethicity of the food I am eating.. the young man then brought out our food and came back with a kettle to pour it into our bowls and held the kettle right over my friends lap and it dropped on his pants. I handed my friend a napkins and tried to discretely point it out to my friend but the young man asked if it spilled on him and my friend said yes but it's okay ans the young man apologized. This broth was absolutely not worth the wait.. it lacked so much flavor and I was so bummed we waited so long for it.. Overall great ingredients, mid broth, and bad service. Theres much better pho in town, I wouldn't recommend Pho Nom to anyone.
Scan the QR code on the table to view the menu. A waiter came to take my order, and I ordered the signature rice noodle soup with big bones. It cost 24 dollars for a large bowl, which also had plenty of meatballs and beef slices. The portion is so generous that one person can't finish it at all—two people sharing one bowl is recommended. The taste is quite good, and the restaurant has a bit of Vietnamese-style decoration. It's worth a try.
