Being a dad with limited time, I'd got really out of shape over the past few years. Suav really helped me make the most of every gym session. In 45 minutes (2 or 3 times a week) we do a full body, low rest, high interval split which pushes lactic acid levels and cardio, whilst also pushing heavy weight at JD Gym in MCR City Centre. I’m a trans man and I have a lower back hernia. First of all, I’ve always wanted to go to the gym, but I was too afraid because the situation in the UK isn’t the best when it comes to trans rights. However, my lower back pain started to spread to my right leg, and it stopped me from enjoying any kind of fun activity: cycling, walking long distances, running, doing chores at home, etc. So I decided to find someone who has experience working with clients who have similar issues. Slawek dedicated a free one-hour consultation (an hour of his day, time is important for everyone), and we spoke about everything. My goal right now is to become stronger and pain-free. I said straight away that my focus wouldn’t be on nutrition at the moment. Slawek is genuinely an amazing, empathetic, and open-minded person. He supports me not only by providing the best program made exactly for me, but also by celebrating every win: I finally found the courage to go to the men’s changing room, and when I walk, I don’t limp as much anymore.
