My daughter loves her haircuts here and loves to add tinsel for an extra fun touch. She looks forward to it so much each time. Thank you for great service and quality haircuts!
This was our first time to the salon, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! Heather was absolutely amazing. She took the time to listen carefully to what my daughter wanted and executed the style perfectly. My daughter’s hair cut is unique - shaved on one side and longer on the other - and Heather nailed with precision and creativity. The final look is stunning! We will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend Heather.
Erin cut my 4yr old daughter’s hair today for her first haircut and did AMAZING. My daughter was nervous when we got there and didn’t want to even sit in the chair. Erin was so kind and let my daughter take her time to feel ready. She was quick and then gave my daughter a cute braid to finish it off with glitter and bows! She was over the moon.
I'm not sure these people care about working with kids or even want to be doing so. Every person in that salon seemed annoyed to be there. To start, we were running a few minutes late and called to let the salon know. The lady on the phone said we had 7 minutes or the appointment would be cancelled due to being completely booked. I get having a late policy, but being completely booked was a lie. Our appointment was at 4:20 (we arrived 4:22) and from then to 5 (when they close) no one came in. They had every other chair open the whole time. The front desk lady seemed annoyed with me and was not personable in the least. Our stylist Briana said maybe three words to me the whole time and virtually nothing to my daughter. I repeatedly talked about how this was my daughter's first haircut, how excited we were, how excited my daughter was, how much we had planned for this day, and the stylist couldnt have cared less. She didn't seem like she was willing to make my daughter feel comfortable as she pushed and pulled her head around with little direction or words of encouragement for her first time. Mind you, my daughter was well behaved and sitting still. I have to laugh because they have a movie playing for the kids to watch while in the chair getting their hair done, yet they don't want the kids to look at it. Um, I'm sorry, why is it even on then? The cut was hardly worth the price and the whole event took maybe 15-20 minutes and just didn't feel special or fun for my daughter at all. The lady literally did four snips of the scissors and was done. I should've known then there was an issue. I can't stress enough that this haircut was a joke and not even worth $15. Overall, very overrated salon. Basically a gimmick. It's only kid friendly because of the chairs and stuff in the store, not the employees. One star for the fun interior, but that's about all that impressed us with this experience. I saw on another review response that sometimes life outside of work makes the employees act this way. I'm sorry but it is your job to provide a special experience for a child's haircut (what you specialize in). Editing to respond to the response on this review: -Every chair was open the whole time we were there -The stylist wasn't "focusing on her work". The haircut she gave my daughter was done in a matter of minutes and looked like my grandma cut it in her kitchen. I showed Briana a picture of a very simple haircut we wanted, and it was clear that was to much to handle (it was a shoulder length cut with some low layers, nothing crazy). Your website literally says: "The concept behind this kids salon is simple, getting a haircut should be fun and memorable. This experience was neither of those things. Basically just overpaid for a crappy haircut, a stylist who could give a crap that this was supposed to be a special experience, and for my daughter to sit in a car chair for 20 minutes. 👍👍 If that's what you are looking for this is the place for you. We got home and took out the braids our "stylist" (Briana) put in to inspect the cut and it is truly awful. Are these people actually licensed stylists? I didn't get the haircut that I came in asking for because, I'm assuming, it was too difficult...yet the simple haircut they did try to do was also apparently too difficult as it is completely uneven. Literally a waist of money and a JOKE of a first haircut experience.
I was very satisfied. We made a same day appointment. This place is definitely designed for designed for children. The majority of the chairs are mini cars like the mini merry-go-round rides you see in the mall. I thought this was a wonderfully creative idea. There is a separate play room with a variety of toys to keep children occupied while you wait. The staff was very friendly. The woman who cut our sons hair was very patient, especially since this was his first time for a professional cut. She was quick and got pretty close to what we wanted. Styles rarely turn out how you invision if you've never had it done before, so we were happy. It's a little pricey but worth it. And they have a little treasure chest the kids can pick from at check out. All in all, I would recommend this place. Update: we have had 3 cuts here so far and love this place. We will continue to use this business for our now 3 year old.
