⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An unforgettable experience in Québec City After knocking on the doors of several restaurants looking for a pet-friendly place, this was the only one in all of Québec that welcomed us — and not just us, but our little dog Meli 🐶💖. From that moment on, we knew this place was special. The manager was incredibly kind and warm, accepting Meli without hesitation. You can truly feel when a place is run with heart, not just professionalism. The food was absolutely outstanding. Everything we ordered was delicious: • 🧅 French onion soup — comforting and perfectly balanced • 🍝 Fettuccini Alfredo — creamy and full of flavor • 🍕 Pizza — simply perfect • 🧀 Cannelloni — rich, comforting, and made with care • 🍫 Chocolate cake — the perfect ending And the service? Next level. Our servers, Camille and Marille, were exceptional: attentive, warm, professional, and genuinely kind. You can clearly see the great work environment among the staff and the love they put into both the service and the kitchen. This is not just a place where you eat well — it’s a place where you feel welcome. The passion for cooking and hospitality is reflected in every dish and every interaction. ✨ A must-visit if you’re in Québec City. This was my first night in Quebec City and this place was super cute and close by our Airb&b. Would honestly eat here again. The ingredients were premium and the food was as authentic as you can get. We had the pizza and lasagna and both were top notch. The best part was of course the crème brûlée. 🥰
Overall great experienced, we booked a reservation at 2pm, and the place was not fully packed which made the experience even better. Waiter was wonderful and very friendly. Ordered a Pinot Grigio, red ruby mocktail (absolutely delicious), garlic escargot (generous portion!), smoked salmon wood oven pizza, and spinach gnocchi (melted in our mouth, will dream of this pasta). Portifino is a must stop every time I visit!
Portofino Brasserie Italienne ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had the spaghetti carbonara and wow, it was amazing! The pasta was cooked perfectly, the sauce was super creamy and flavorful, and the calamari on the side gave everything the perfect salty bite to the creamy meal. You can tell they use fresh, good-quality ingredients. The portion was generous without being too much, and honestly it tasted like real homemade Italian food. The vibe in the restaurant was cozy hot red and welcoming too. Definitely one of the best carbonaras I’ve had, I’d 100% come back here.
I am hard to impress food-wise. The vegetable tagliatelle and the Aranchini were so delicious. And everyone in my group were also amazed with their food. Very professional service. Atmosphere is very busy and noisy. But it truly adds to the charm and experience.
