We had Poynter replace a large hedge for us. Margaret, Neil, and Orlando worked together to come up with a plan and executed it perfectly. It was a large job but they completed it in 2 days and it is perfect. Several neighbors even commented on their work ethic and how great it looks. We have an ongoing maintenance agreement and every time they come, the yard looks fantastic. We highly recommend them.
Dave Warmbrodt I rarely write service provider reviews but feel compelled to publicly congratulate the team at Poynter Landscape for their excellent work on our backyard retaining wall project. Heather provided a detailed plan which incorporated our ideas and concerns. The installation of the wall went flawlessly with ongoing communication and supervision by Neil and Carlos. I was amazed at everyone’s attention to detail and professionalism. My wife and I are very pleased with the completed project and readily recommend the fine people at Poynter to anyone interested in a top-notch landscape company.
Bob came out May 19 to look at our project. He was excited about the potential of our space and the picture on the Poynter website look great. Two weeks later I called just to get a time estimate of when we could get Poynter's design and then we could get started. I called repeatedly, left messages with the main office, left messages on Bob's phone, and then had my husband call them twice...just for kicks, to try to get a response. Absolutely nothing back from them. Ghosted. If they don't want the project, it would be nice for them to tell us so we can get moving on the project. Needless to say, we've moved on to work with another company.
I rarely write public reviews, but make a well-deserved exception for the folks at Poynter Landscape Architecture & Construction. We wanted one-stop shopping for a project including design and build for a deck, hardscape patio and walls, a water feature and all the landscaping surrounding those outdoor spaces. I could not be more pleased with the results, especially now as I enjoy seeing the newly emerging plants this spring. My father would say "you get what you pay for", and while Poynter may not be the least expensive bid you will get, I think the end result is well worth it. The process was clearly laid out for us from design all the way through building and cleanup. Bob listened carefully to our wishes and came back with design options that we workshopped together to finalize a cohesive plan. Poynter took care of all the permit process and finally the crew arrived! Hats off to BJ, Carlos, Darrell and Michelle who teamed up to translate the plan into reality. Their crews were hard working, polite and responsive to any of our requests. The site was clean and safe every day before leaving. Poynter took extra care to call in a tree specialist to minimize impacts to our beautiful Japanese maple tree, now a focal point of the new patio. We always knew the schedule and could rely that things would happen when expected. And if not, we knew why without asking. When we sit on our patio and hear the restful sound of falling water, I am truly in my happy place. Without hesitation, we recommend Poynter to you.
I appreciated the promptness, professionalism and patience experienced with Poytner. Plans for the space changed more than once and Josh was comfortable and accommodatingly flexible in listening to and mapping out my ideas. Recommendations on plants selection and follow-up with walk throughs and on going care is appreciated.
