Zero stars. We hired them for our wedding. The big day that you only get one shot at. We trusted them with the responsibility of capturing this day and giving us the ability to relive it over and over every time we watch the video. It was edited very poorly and obvious that it was just slapped together because they were two days away from being in breach of their own contract. We were never given the opportunity to select our own music. They have terrible communication and are very unprofessional. The only communication received was after we reached out to them demanding updates.

so this is my first ever review. I was asked by Alena to give my honest assesment of my experience and i feel pretty well qualified to do so. Its been almost a year now since my wedding video. the video itself is great. i dont cry "tears of joy" i did the first couple of times but after watching it 20 times it does lose its effect. now i only watch it about once a month. The video is still really beautiful and still emotional after a year. My experience with Pretty Films is mixed. a month before my wedding my main coordinator went MIA without letting me know. I got a text from Sharie that she wants to chat. I did initially freak out because i dont know her, havent worked with her, and its a month before my wedding. thats just not cool but in retrospect i guess this happens in real life. She ended up just reconfirming everything to make sure she understood it and i did appreciate that. Day of the wedding i dont remember anything. the day came and went - i just remember Dave (my videographer) showint up and then saying good night. Week after my wedding I get a text from Mike - now i worry thinking that Sherry quit or somthing but I guess she specializes in everything before the day and now "Mike" is gonna take over. He was a little quirky but in a nice way. i stil didnt finish up all my "edit" info and he said that was a big "nono" Im like "ok" whatever but he actually made some cool song suggestoins that went along with what my husband wanted. Anyways the guy ended up being very useful in the final edit and Im pretty pleased with how everything ended up. I have nothing to compare it to and dont plan on getting married again. But there you have it - my wedding experience account. I guess big questoin is would i do it again - id say yes. the cost to benefit ratio is pretty good. the fact that weve watched this video as many times as we have already makes me confident to say that. So do your due dilligance and if you want a wedding video you have lots of choices. I like these guys because they did actually pay attention to the details. it was a little work on our end but worth it and im glad we did it.

MISSED OUR VOWS We had initially decided to go with pretty films due to all of the great reviews and content listed on their website but we were quickly let down. Our videographer showed up late and missed our vows! We were able to redo them, but the second time felt like more of a read through instead of the initial raw emotion. Our assigned videographer was not very friendly and was constantly in the way of our Photographer and our photographer had to keep directing the videographer. At the end of the night, we had realized the videographer left some of his equipment. He was texting us as we were getting ready to leave for our honeymoon, asking us to ship his equipment back. We quickly reached out to Johnny, who we had signed the contract with to discuss our concerns and we were passed around until we were connected with George. We were working on finding a solution and George suggested another video. We quickly reminded him our vows were missed so we did not want another video as the biggest part of our wedding day was not captured. He then said he would work on finding a monetary solution for us and this has taken weeks and so far they have only offered a 4% refund and continue to be very difficult to work with. As far as the videos go: the quality is good but not worth the amount of money paid. There is nothing very creative or unique about the video and seems more live pictures than a video.

I have to say, after being initially impressed by the amazing quality of this company’s videos, I was ultimately disappointed with what I received. They hire local videographers, and the one assigned to us was fine but offered very little direction. Our photographer, by contrast, was very engaged and guided us through poses and moments — so the video ended up feeling like moving versions of the photos rather than something distinct. Considering I paid twice as much for the videographer, I expected a stronger creative contribution and more effort overall. Most of the footage is shot from wide, distant angles, which surprised me. I had expected more intimate, emotional shots like those I’d seen in the company’s portfolio. The editing also felt somewhat disjointed — the choice of clips seemed random at times, and compared to our photos, the video just didn’t capture us or the day in the most flattering way. The turnaround was slower than promised, too. It took about ten days longer than estimated, and I had to follow up repeatedly for updates. Although they mentioned I’d receive a “sneak peek,” it never arrived, even after I asked. When I did get the first version, there were noticeable errors that felt sloppy — things I would have caught myself. It then took another month to get the corrected version, so the final videos arrived over two months after the wedding. All that said, the finished video isn’t terrible — it’s actually quite nice. It just missed the mark for me. I may have high standards, but based on their past work, I just expected more.

We could not be happier with our experience working with Pretty Films for our wedding. On the day of the wedding, we hardly even noticed they were there, yet they managed to capture every special moment beautifully. We received three different videos after the wedding, a trailer, a short film, and full length video, along with all of the raw footage. They brought several different cameras to capture multiple angles and the audio quality for the ceremony and speeches is amazing. The finished video is absolutely perfect and truly reflects the joy and emotion of our day. It’s something we will treasure and look back on for years to come. We’re so grateful for their talent and would highly recommend them to any couple looking for a videographer.
