This summer, a major part of my lawn was taken over by crabgrass. What a mess. It took a while to remove it; and then I had to make a decision as to how to recover my lawn. I had heard about a solution called slit seeding and contacted Dominic, at Primo Landscaping. He checked out my lawn, and told me he could help. It took him about half a day to complete the process. Dominic instructed me to water twice a day for 10 minutes, for two weeks. After two weeks, I couldn’t believe how much the grass had grown…totally unbelievable. The grass is thick and a beautiful green. I highly recommend using Primo Landscaping for your lawn seeding needs. They provide very professional, efficient service.
I have used Primo for almost five years and Dominic and his team have been solid and communicative the entire time. You can text him and he gets back to you quickly. We have had a couple rush jobs that he has honoured even though it was inconvenient for his people. He gives honest advice and his work is always thorough.
I received excellent service and support from Dominic at Primo Landscaping. I recently moved into a new home and we had to complete renovations that completely destroyed the lawn in my back yard. Early this spring I began inquiring with various local landscape companies about a viable / cost effective solution to give me a reasonable lawn instead of the mud dominated landscape. This urgency was prompted by my 2 large dogs, which where getting into the mud then our house! Most of the companies I investigated, had no viable solution or where just outrageously priced, or they where just not willing to provide some level of confidence getting me a lawn with 2 dogs Then I met Dominic from Primo Landscape, he was engaging, forthcoming, his solution was to slit seed and provided me with realistic expectations based on what I had to work with. He provided my with detailed instructions on how to achieve these goals based on my budget, I followed his advice and was exceptionally pleased with the results after 3 weeks, I have attached before and after pictures to illustrate.
In early 2016, we hired a designer for our backyard. The backyard is about 3600 sq.ft. , so a fairly big project that includes a deck and gardens along all fence lines. The deck and major landscaping (garden beds, big trees and a base for an away patio) were all completed in 2016 and in the spring of 2017, we requested quotes via email for plantings from 7 different nurseries and garden centers in Ottawa. The response was mixed: some big players, including Artistic Rtichie’s, and Laporte didn’t even reply; Richmond Nursery replied but never submitted a quote; Peter Knipple, the designer Wellwyn Wong, and Primo Landscaping all replied with quotes. To Laporte’s credit, in the fall of 2016 I purchased and they planted 2 red rocket maples from them last fall. One tree never made it to full bloom this spring and Laporte has been very accommodating honoring their one year warranty to replace the dead one. Wellwyn Wong was by far the worst quote, Primo Landscaping the best, and Peter Knipple somewhere in the middle. The folks at Peter Knipple were very pleasent to deal with and were very honest with their opinion of the designer's planting choices. Beyond the $ quote, the folks at Primo Landscaping, and it’s owner Dominic-Andre (DA), were very professional to deal with. DA was great at assessing our needs and providing recommendations, based on his extensive experience. Before, during, and after the project, DA was always very prompt with returning calls or emails, and with keeping us up-to-date. On the delivery date, DA was early to our house to meet up with the delivery truck. DA supervised and was hands on during the unloading of the plants, which went very fast and smooth. The plants were handled with utmost care, which is important, since much damage can occur to plants if are mis-handled. When you are investing as much as we did in quality plants of decent size, you want them undamaged. Note that there were three 10ft evergreens and they were placed very carefully at the side of the house (instead of garage with other plants). Overall, very impressed with Primo Landscaping (and DA) and would highly recommend them. Based on discussions with DA regarding other jobs, Primo also seems well equipped to deliver on any size project. While we did the planting ourselves, DA made some recommendations which made the process go smoother. Thank You DA and Primo!
Ich habe mit Dominic bei Primo Landscaping gearbeitet und ihn die Arbeiten an meinen Hecken und Zedern mit großem Erfolg ausführen lassen. Er hat auf alle Fragen reagiert und gute Vorschläge gemacht. Er kam, wie er es angekündigt hatte, und die Kosten waren vernünftig. Ich habe ihn auch anderen empfohlen und sie waren genauso zufrieden mit seiner Arbeit.
