I've seen a few weird comments on here and, quite frankly, recommend focusing on the overwhelmingly positive ones if you're looking to find out if QMD is right for you. I can't say enough good things about QMD and their team. My kiddos have been going here for the past 2ish years: My daughter started dance (wound up not being her thing, not because of QMD) and my son has been LOVING guitar. Ms. Aeryn is such an incredible guitar teacher, and we love her. My daughter has since shifted her interest to voice lessons very recently, and I asked for QMD's help getting a slot at the same time as my son's lesson. We're a military family, I work, and thus solo parent a lot so (like many of us) weekday logistics can be hard. When they brought on a voice teacher, they remembered my request, and we are now doing voice lessons at the same time as my son's lesson! Win! Huge thanks to them for remembering amidst all the million requests (I'm sure) they get each day. Last - the level of care the staff provide, I can't say enough good things about. Keep up the good work, QMD team!
Like most, I was introduced to QMD through my kids as they needed instruments for school and interest in learning music. I was pleasantly surprised that they also catered to busy adults, who like me are trying to enrich their lives by learning a new skill and play music. I started taking guitar classes with Wayne few months ago and in less than 3 months he has me playing and reading music. I was a complete novice, but his teaching method, patience and communication skill have me feeling confident to play and most importantly enjoy the process. In today's environment it is refreshing to see a local business serving its community, where the staff greet you as you come in and know your name. I hope that they will continue to thrive so that we can all benefit from their knowledge and talent in music and dance.
I do NOT and can not in my right mind recommend this studio, especially for dance lessons. I’ve known more than one teacher that had a HORRIBLE experience here. Several students have been let go because “the family wasn’t a good fit”. Run by the most unprofessional people in the entire business. If you need recommendations for a dance studio, please look into Music and Motion or BellA Dance both located in VB. Phenomenal staff that actually know how to run a dance company. Had more than one friend in the industry teach for these locations and can vouch for them!
QMD not only has changed my daughter's life with their encouragement and confidence building-- but they have also given her a love for dance. Her skills have grown extensively and we LOVE LOVE LOVE our dance school and teachers. The owners are so amazing and care deeply about each family that attends their performing arts center!
Kind and caring owners. Very professional and excellent instruction. A local business that enjoys being part of the community. They promote healthy relationships among the dancers and support them emotionally and physically. An excellent place to dance in a positive environment!
