We worked with Lizzie at RBE for our October wedding and cannot recommend her enough! Over the past year, Lizzie went above and beyond to bring our vision to life and to create a weekend that felt so us and so perfect in every way. Months later, we still receive compliments from our guests that it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to. We truly couldn’t have done it without Lizzie’s professionalism, organization, kindness, and support! From the start, Lizzie really took the time to understand what we were looking for in our wedding and was patient, flexible, and responsive. She introduced us to incredible vendors that she and the RBE team have strong relationships with, while also going out of her way to find new and different options to ensure that every aspect of our wedding perfectly fit our vision. When things ever felt stressful or intimidating, she approached everything so calmly and with a genuine kindness, which made her the best partner we could have asked for during the process. The weekend of our wedding, Lizzie made sure everything ran so seamlessly - we cannot thank her enough for everything she did to allow us to enjoy our time together/with our guests and not have to worry about a single thing. This was also truly invaluable for our families, who both traveled from out of town and could spend their time enjoying the weekend. We truly could not be happier with how our wedding weekend went, all thanks to Lizzie and the RBE team!
Where do I begin! To say that this was a perfect experience would be an understatement. My wife and I were recently married at the Bowery Hotel in Manhattan (11/7/2025). When we started planning our wedding, we were actually reluctant to use a wedding planner because the both of us plan larger workshops and events for a living. We however quickly realized that we were absolutely in need a planner simply due to the fact that we wanted the night to be perfect and there were so many things that kept coming up that we did not consider. Enter Rachel Behar Events! We interviewed quite a few wedding planners and selected this company and we literally could not be happier with how the ENTIRE wedding was planned. Lizzie Torrence was our planner and she was absolutely amazing. I have never seen someone so amazing with literally EVERY detail. She was kind, patient, responsive, full of ideas and just an overall joy to work with. We couldn't imagine working with anyone else and we knew from the beginning that our wedding was in the best of hands from start to finish with Lizzie and RBE.” I could go on and on but please do yourself a favor and if you are planning to have a wedding in NYC, hire Lizzie with Rachel Behar Events. Working with Rachel was truly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From start to finish, she made the entire planning process seamless, organized, and completely stress-free. Every single detail was handled with care, creativity, and professionalism. From coordinating with vendors to executing our vision flawlessly on the day itself. Our wedding day went off without a single hitch. Everything flowed perfectly, and we were able to just be present and enjoy every moment knowing Rachel had everything covered. We received endless compliments from guests about how beautiful, smooth, and well-run the day was, and that’s all thanks to Rachel and her incredible team. Rachel truly went above and beyond to make it the best day of our lives, and we can’t thank her enough. Rachel did the most fantastic job as our wedding planner. From start to finish, she was the most organized and capable partner we could have asked for. Importantly, Rachel also has incredible taste - all of her vendors and recommendations were fantastic, leading a couple of friends to say it was one of the most elegant weddings that they ever attended. One of her flower vendors did the most amazing job bringing my wife's rather specific vision to fruition, for example. There were many small things she thought of that really combined to result in something truly special - and a day we'll remember forever. I could go on and on but will just leave it at you are in incredible hands with Rachel + team - who combine the best of resourceful execution and genuinely great taste. Our only regret is we no longer have a reason to work so closely with Rachel!
My sister hired RBE for her 2022 wedding, for which I was the maid of honor. I met Rachel briefly then and I saw how organized and professional she was, and my sister was thrilled with her work (it was at the Box House Hotel in Greenpoint). So when I got engaged, it was an easy decision to hire RBE! Rachel is extremely organized and has an extensive network of awesome vendors. I was thrilled with my HAMU team that she recommended, the DJ / band were awesome and not expensive, and all the details like invitations and day-of stationery came out perfect. The photographer she recommended was so excellent, we are absolutely thrilled with the pictures. She was even able to pull off something we thought would be impossible - she sourced impersonators of our favorite musicians (Dolly and Elvis) and arranged a multi-part live performance, which was a complete surprise to all of our guests. It was an absolute blast, and a memory I will cherish forever, and it wouldn't have been possible without Rachel. She encouraged us to envision our dream wedding and then made it a reality. We included a Persian sofreh aghd table in our ceremony, which is comprised of dozens of large and small symbolic items that need to be laid out a certain way. This was logistically very complicated but Rachels' team took care of it with no problem, and it looked beautiful. On the day-of, Rachel provided a very smooth experience, and I didn't have a moment of stress. Without a doubt, RBE is a great choice for your wedding - especially if you want to create an event that is really special and personalized for you.
