I am BLOWN AWAY by how well-designed the escape room was. My husband, our 2 year old and our friend did "The Gift". Not knowing the difficulty level, we managed to solve it with 1:08 left on the time. Yes, we used our hints, but more towards the end when we were like O_O This escape room had three decent sized rooms within it and all the puzzles were so well-crafted and thought out. I've done a few escape rooms prior to this and this one is my favorite from top to bottom. What made me enjoy this even more was that our 2 year old was allowed to participate (free of charge) and he had a blast running around with the flashlights we found. Last, but not least, thank you Claudia for guiding us through our experience! Relationships and patience will be tested, but you'll have fun while they are!

Went here, wasn’t expecting much as we just needed to pass some time before we headed to the airport. This place was wow AWESOME! I went with my family and did the prison break one. It made us use our heads and brought out each persons value in that game! Everyone had a part to play which made it a truly incredible experience. From check in to finish, just overall extremely kind people. Special mention to whoever was working the front desk (sorry I forgot ur name but you’re awesome!), David, Mico and all the rest of the staff! Made our experience filled with job, laughter, and lots of love. Definitely want to check out the other rooms and other locations with the whole family!

BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! I made a reservation for the Borderlands Tannis' lab escape room online and when I arrived the gentleman at the front desk discovered I did not have a reservation. I showed him my confirmation and he told me it was actually for another location but he would do the best he could to fix it. He immediately booked us for the next availible time slot which I had no problem waiting for and he let us know that he would call the other location and transfer everything over for us! He went so above and beyond to fix my mistake, was super knowledgeable in the steps he had to take and was clear in explaining how he would fix it and I appreciated every second of it! Customer service was incredible! When we came back everything was all set for our new reservation and we headed right down to proceed. Jazz was our game master and was immediately super clear in directions and super friendly! We ended up using the classic mode for the room and it seemed like the appropriate amount of help for the difficulty of the room. I am a huge Borderlands fan and the little nods to the lore and Fandom of the room were incredible, the puzzles did feel challenging and the decor matched the Borderlands art style perfectly! It took two of us about 50 minutes out of the full hour to complete the room. Once done I shared my thoughts of how well the room translates to the Borderlands Fandom with Jazz and she took some pictures for us, she was super easy to talk to and truly wanted to know my opinion about the room since it is quite new to the venue. While leaving we also chatted with a family in the lobby that had expressed to us how much they also love coming to this location because of how fun it is and how friendly everyone is! Truly the staff at Red Door San Diego were some of the most attentive, informed, kind and willing to help people and the room was a 10/10!!!

Had a lot of fun tonight! Melisa was very helpful in assisting us with understanding the rules and lore of The Gift, which we were able to beat in this month’s record timing (so far). Thank you for the experience!

There were 7 of us playing the escape room, and everyone had such a great time. We worked together, solved the puzzles, and we won. It was so much fun and definitely worth it, highly recommend if you love challenges and teamwork.
