I've always had a great experience at Relay, but especially last week. To start off, my chai latte was amazing as always. The staff that were working were very friendly as well. At some point after I left the shop, I noticed that I'd dropped my phone. The baristas that were working were absolutely lovely and tried to help me find it. Though I wasn't able to find my phone, the overall service and the fact that they went out of their way to help me was amazing. Relay is definitely a place that I would (and have) recommend for anyone to go! The food and drinks are amazing, and their staff are absolutely lovely :)
We drove all the way from Markham—you probably know why: Heated Rivalry. The “Straw+Berry” sign is replaced with its original one - Relay Coffee Roasters. And still, you have to use your imagination, your memory, and your eyes to find the sweetness Scott and Kip once shared in this place. Snow has covered the rose-gold glow that once warmed the audience in the play. The counter feels farther now—from the entrance, from the window where Scott once looked down at his phone. Most importantly, you can’t find the smoothie with extra banana - Blue moon over Brooklyn.
They roast their own coffee beans here. I got an espresso macchiato half decaf half regular with skim milk and it was amazing. Even the presentation was good with the skim milk. The staff was friendly and quick to serve.
Relay Coffee Roasters is my go-to when I want a cup that’s genuinely cared for. Espresso is dialed in, pour-overs are clean and bright, and the beans (roasted in-house) taste exactly like the notes on the bag. The vibe is warm and unhurried—friendly baristas, good tunes, and plenty of cozy corners to park with a laptop or a friend. Pastries and breakfast bites round things out nicely. If you love thoughtfully made coffee, this place delivers every time.
Great cafe with amazing coffee! Got the flat white and it was perfect. The interior is really cozy and the staff were super nice. Also tried the jalapeño popper waffle sandwich and it was unreal. Nothing could have prepared me for the flavors that blessed my tastebuds on the first bite. Definitely will be back to try everything else on the menu.
