Reuben’s Restaurant and Delicatessen & Steakhouse in Montreal is an absolute must-visit. They serve some of the best smoked meat in Canada—tender, flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and piled high just the way it should be. Every bite truly reflects Montreal’s legendary smoked meat tradition. Beyond the main dishes, the variety of desserts is outstanding. From classic favorites to indulgent treats, there’s something for everyone, and they’re the perfect way to end a fantastic meal. The service made the experience even better. Gustavo and Andres were excellent servers—friendly, attentive, and genuinely professional. They made us feel welcome from start to finish and ensured everything was perfect. Amazing food, great desserts, and top-notch service. Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely be back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We went in for steak and ordered the Sullivan cut with shrimp, mashed potatoes, fries, some veggies. The waiter was very knowledgeable, freindly and prompt. We absolutely loved the food and service and recommend this restaurant for awesome steak. There was no reservation needed around 6 pm even on new year's Eve but they had reservations after 7.30 pm.
Honestly, for me, this is the best salmon I can eat in Montreal, in my opinion. The service is generally good, although on busy days people seem to be rushing around, but overall it's good. The drinks are delicious too, even the mocktails!* The fries are amazing, as are the mushrooms, and the chicken—everything is so good! The portions are excellent. Thank you
My girlfriend and I decided to bring my son to Reuben’s for some classic comfort food. It was his first visit, and the restaurant was packed — a clear sign of how popular it is. Thankfully, we had a reservation, so we didn’t have to wait long. From the moment we arrived, the staff were welcoming, friendly, and attentive, answering all our questions with a smile. My son and I both ordered the smoked meat sliders, while my girlfriend went with a vegetarian sandwich. Every dish was excellent — flavourful, well-prepared, and served piping hot. The smoked meat was tender and perfectly seasoned, and the sliders themselves were among the biggest I’ve seen anywhere. The portions are generous, and the presentation matches the quality. Between the great service, delicious food, and lively yet comfortable atmosphere, Reuben’s delivered exactly what we were hoping for. A fantastic experience all around, and one we’ll definitely be repeating.
Didn’t realize this restaurant had OpenTable, otherwise I could’ve left you 2x 5-star amazing reviews. I’m from Calgary and I have been craving for a good Reuben sandwich for years. I was told this is an icon place for it. I went to the wrong location first and decided not to waste a meal out of my 4-day trip, and man it was the right decision. This store has the KILLER Reuben sandwich. I was in Montreal only for 4 days and this is the only restaurant I went twice. UNREAL deliciousness. If I’m ever going to Montreal again, it’s gonna be because I want a sandwich from you guys.
