If I could give 10 stars I would. They were absolutely wonderful with our puppy. We got the 2 week puppy training and he’s not a pain to own anymore! You couldn’t go near him with a leash before because he would instantly lay flat, he would cry his heart out in his crate and would go potty all over the house. Now I can have him out in the shop with me while I work and he just stays calm on his place. We can comfortably take him on walks and he stays at my side with slack in the leash. The best part of all is he goes potty outside almost instantly when he gets on the grass and doesn’t sniff every inch of my lawn. Brent was very good at training the owners (us 😂) at what we were doing wrong that was enabling all those bad behaviors. Couldn’t be more pleased with the services we got. THANK YOU!!!!

We had an incredible experience with Ridgeside K9, and I truly can’t recommend them enough. We brought our mini dachshund in as a puppy, and even at such a young age, the results were amazing. He came home with a strong foundation of essential commands, improved behavior, and skills that we know will shape him into an exceptional adult dog. One thing that meant a lot to us is that his training was tailored to his real-life environment. He’s constantly around an automotive shop setting, and they made sure to incorporate that into his training. Because of that, he understands his place, stays out of things he shouldn’t get into, and behaves safely in a busy, high-distraction environment—which is huge for us. What really set them apart was how smooth and reassuring the entire process was. The transition was effortless, and we received daily photo and video updates, which made it so easy to stay connected and see his progress firsthand. It was clear from day one that he was not only being trained but genuinely cared for and loved. The level of professionalism, communication, and attention to detail is top-tier. You can tell they truly understand dogs and take pride in what they do. We’re already looking forward to bringing him back for adult training in a few months and can’t wait to see how much more he’ll grow. If you’re considering training for your dog—especially a puppy—this is absolutely the place to go.

3 weeks in and I couldn’t be more excited to see my Koda girl! Brent and his team have gone above and beyond! Updates 6 days a week and responses to ALL my inquiries. Yes, I’m a helicopter mom! Stay tuned for pick up in one week!! Update…It’s been a year since bringing Koda home from the shelter. I wouldn’t have survived it without Brent, Carleigh and @ridgesidek9tampa. Brent was on board from day one even after a bite attempt at drop off. The tools they gave us so that Koda can live her best life are priceless! Thank you doesn’t cover it! Merry Christmas and we will see you in the New Year!

I found Ridgeside K9 after a quick Google search for local dog trainers, and I’m really glad I did. From the start, Taylor was awesome. During our initial consultation, she took the time to really understand what I needed for my Malinois rescue, Kona. We talked through some of the challenges we were having and what I was hoping to get out of the training. She asked all the right questions, and before I knew it, we were moving forward. When pickup day came, Brent showed up and walked me through the entire process — what to expect while Kona was away, how the training would go, and how I'd stay in the loop. True to his word, I got daily updates and pictures that kept me connected and reassured throughout. Then Kona came home… and wow. Different dog. Still Kona, just more focused, confident, and manageable. Brent didn’t just hand him off and leave either — he spent a solid 2.5 hours with my family walking us through everything. It honestly felt like he was training us more than the dog (which I now totally get). He made sure we understood how to use the tools he provided, how to reinforce the training, and how to make it part of everyday life. We wrapped it all up with a hands-on walk where he coached my wife and me through real-time corrections and gave us practical advice to keep things consistent and low-stress. Huge thanks to Brent and the whole Ridgeside K9 crew for giving Kona (and us) the structure we needed. He’s now thriving as part of our family — and we’re all better for it.
