We have been using Ron Paul for years. Always receive excellent service. Ray the owner recently went above and beyond to help us with our recent landscaping project. Nice to see the pride he takes in his business and how he values his reputation within the community.
It was a great experience, we picked up a couple of trees and the person who greeted us connected us with a knowledgeable fellow. We were planning just to get one but ended up buying two trees. They allowed us to pickup them up later since we did come in with a truck and made it a family outing. The kids enjoyed picking the trees for our yard. We will be back again for sure next year. Poorly trained staff, poor quality product, uncompromising management. We called to inquire about a 15gal maple tree and were told by staff it was approx. 7’ tall and would fit in a crv. We made the trip out to Ron Paul’s and upon arrival staff couldn’t find the tree. We waited over half hour before the tree was found and it was actually over 11 feet tall without the base bucket. Because the tree wouldn’t fit staff offered delivery for $100 (on a $190 tree), we asked for a discount since we were told it would fit and made the trip but were offered none. When the tree was delivered half of it had no branches. We contacted management and eventually the president of Ron Paul’s, who offered no warranty, alternative, or discount, simply telling us to prune and fertilize the tree. Hindsight being 20/20, with how the staff treated us when were purchasing the tree, we should’ve chose another supplier.
Even though I no longer live in St Vital now other end of the city. I still track out to Ron Paul Garden, it’s my favourite garden centre. Products are great along with their service. My car pad is getting a little muddy time to put down 3/4. My car Gizmo is my truck. The guys bag what was ordered. Soon as I got home I started to lay the 3/4 down. Thx again. No more mud on my shoes.
This is one of my favorite gardening stores in Winnipeg. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. The store has everything I needed, plus some. I bought three Venus Fly Traps, they look healthy and I cannot wait to watch them grow.
