Some months ago RTL supplied a quote for a job. I had a thorough discussion with the estimator at the time and received a good quote. I signed the quote acceptance. I had to follow up a few times and was told that a start date was scheduled. A few days prior to the job commencing a project manager attended. He didn't seem to be aware of what was discussed with the previous estimator. On the DAY BEFORE the job, he rang to say that RTL would not be proceeding. He denied knowledge of points that I had discussed with the first estimator, even though the issues were broadly stated in the quotation. He said that that person whom I had initially talked to had left. I advised that that is of no consequence, as the signed quote acceptance is between the company and I, not an individual. He said that they can't do the job for the cost estimated and cancelled. I had other trades backed up to this job. I would strongly advise anyone not to engage this company.
We are extremely grateful for the work that RTL has carried out on our block of units. RTL have done what is expected from a professional trade service. Requests to quote are carried out in a timely manner, the quoted prices have always been reasonable, the trades people have been professional in their manners and workmanship. After 4 years of other services attempting to fix our roof leaks RTL fixed the problem on the first attempt. They even offered a cheaper quote for one job as a different repair method was recommended. We will definitely be using RTL again.
RTL Trades Ben and Zac spent two days repairing the roof and replacing around 3500 screws on my Queenslander. (They also called in other employees one day to make sure job was competed before the rain) These two personable tradesmen were very professional and it was a pleasure to have them working on my house.
