Sacramento Catering Collective is the BEST!! We worked with Liz and Joe for our wedding in October and it was one of the best decisions we made. Liz, Joe, and their entire team are really, really cool people. They’re easy and fun to work with, they went above and beyond for us, and all of our guests had a great time and enjoyed their servers and bartenders. I’ve never had a better margarita than the one Ricky made. My wedding would not have been nearly as good as it was without Liz, I seriously couldn’t have done it without her. She went way beyond her duty as a caterer and helped me facilitate my rentals, spoke on the phone with me countless times giving me advice, helping me with the planning process, and went to bat for me when another vendor fell short. She’s a sweet, good person and I can’t thank her enough. Their food is absolutely incredible. Not your typical wedding food - this is high end, quality food that they serve so, so beautifully. They are committed to their craft and everyone at our wedding could not stop talking about how delicious it was. We also held our welcome dinner at their event venue, Chariot, and it exceeded my expectations. Liz did an amazing job designing the space, it’s so unique and everyone was in awe. Book them for your event and you won’t regret it!
SCC is TOP NOTCH! I found them on Google and used their website to book an intro call with the owner, Elizabeth. She gave me a great run down of their different menus and we also went over details of our wedding. She answered all of my questions! My last question to her was, “Can you squeeze me in for a tasting tomorrow?” I was only in town for a couple of days and she was able to accommodate me (despite them having a pretty packed schedule as they were preparing for a wedding that day). My mom accompanied me to the tasting and we had such a great experience! Elizabeth seated us in their beautiful venue space and served us full portions!!! Hors d’oeuvres, salad, and two entrees. All of the food was INCREDIBLE!!! Elizabeth is so so talented. I wish she had a restaurant I could frequent! I also loved all of the dishes and flatware she served us with. She mentioned to us that they offer rentals for all of those things (dishes, flatware, cups, chargers, napkins, tablecloths, etc). We already looked at another company’s rentals, but it did not compare to Elizabeth’s inventory. She showed us her inventory, we pieced some things together, and voila! I had the perfect place setting that I envisioned for my Victorian style, black-tie wedding. She put together my quote for the catering services and the rentals, and it was in my inbox that night! Elizabeth and her husband Joe are the ultimate power couple. They have created a beautiful venue space in the heart of downtown, curated beautiful menus for any occasion, and deliver top notch service to their customers. We left the tasting feeling like family. Thank you Elizabeth and Joe! I can’t wait to write another review in October 2026 after the wedding. I know all of our guests are going to LOVE what you two put together for us.
Elizabeth and Joe are not only phenomenal at running this business, they’re also just genuinely awesome humans. From start to finish, we could tell they were dedicated to making our wedding day unforgettable. Our tasting was such a special experience. We met them at their venue, Chariot, and when we arrived, two seats were set just for us. Joe greeted us with sparkling wine, and from then on, we were treated to what felt like a true tasting menu. Elizabeth included everything we asked for—and even more—while Joe crafted cocktails so we could sample options for our signature drinks. Afterward, we sat down to go over logistics and details, and honestly, everything from there felt so easy. In the month leading up to the wedding, all we had to do was provide our final headcount and confirm our drinks. As a type-A person, I can’t stress enough how refreshing and comforting their calm, organized approach was. On wedding day, everything was executed flawlessly. They set up welcome drinks that looked beautiful and were easy for guests to grab. Before we even entered cocktail hour, Elizabeth and Joe made sure Tyler and I had a platter of appetizers waiting for us—which was such a thoughtful touch. During cocktail hour, servers were fully prepared with trays of appetizers and drinks, which kept the bar from getting overwhelmed. The bartenders were working hard all night, they were so friendly, and absolutely nailed every drink they made. We went with a buffet for dinner, and having the catering team serve it elevated the whole experience while keeping the line moving quickly. The food quality was just as incredible as our tasting—something not every caterer can pull off! We had so many guests rave about the food, the cocktails, and the service overall. Multiple people told us how impressed they were not only with the food, but also with the professionalism and warmth of the catering staff. Elizabeth, Joe, and the entire Sacramento Catering Collective team truly know what they’re doing. They made our wedding feel seamless and special, and we cannot recommend them enough. Everyone should book with them!
We attended a friends wedding celebration last Friday night at the Old Sugar Mill. We were so pleased with the Sacramento Collective Catering I am compelled to speak up! It was fabulous, not an easy task serving 160 guests. Service and food was at the highest standard! I’ve been in the restaurant business over 30 years and now have the pleasure of doing flowers! We were invited to the celebration so I was able to see all aspects. The attention to detail that Chef Elizabeth and her team commanded was extraordinary!
SCC catered our June 2022 wedding and we highly recommend them! We were interested when we read up online but once we had our tasting- we knew without a doubt that we wanted to hire them! Not only do they use quality, local, organic, and homemade ingredients- but everything they make tastes freaking amazing. Their boutique-style dishes and set-ups are absolutely magazine-worthy. Their portions are also great compared to some other catering companies. We weren't short on anything. Everyone at our wedding loved the food. My mom was especially impressed with their professionalism- they wear uniforms, have beautiful serving stations, and are super knowledgeable and friendly. Liz was so tentative to us at our sweetheart table- she checked in on us, brought us tea during our speeches so we wouldn't have to get up. She also went out of her way to help out with our coffee station which was so thoughtful. Also, the crew was super nice and made awesome drinks all night that all the guests loved. We only have one critique for SCC. When we went to our first tasting, some of the items we had pre-picked were missing. Because of that, we had to plan a second tasting for about a month or so later. They were kind enough not to charge us since it was their mistake. Unfortunately, for the second tasting, they still had some things missing! That was a bit frustrating but Liz assured us that everything would be written out and confirmed for wedding day, which it was! Looking back I think we had ordered bread and butter but I don't believe that was out on the wedding night. Those were the little things-however, we believe its just because they were a newer company and still figuring out some logistics, etc. All in all, SCC is a wonderful catering company that we would hire again- and you should definitely consider hiring them for your events!
