I can’t say enough about how fun this was. The 11 or so equally nervous but totally willing newcomers were wonderful to share this time with. Our teacher / facilitator was amazing. 1000 reasons to back out and now 10,000 reasons to go back again and again.

While L.A. has the Groundlings, Chicago has Second City and New York has SNL, Sacramento knows how to bring the fire. NorCal’s comedy scene is rising—and the Comedy Spot is not just keeping up, we’re setting the pace. It’s been an absolute honor to perform, grow, and connect at this venue. From diving into musical improv as a singer to writing and performing sketch and character work, every experience here has pushed me beyond what I thought I was capable of. I’ve laughed harder than ever with the students and teachers, and I’ve grown in my ability to be present, take risks, and truly trust myself and others on stage. Sharing the stage and creative process with some of the most talented minds, personalities, and actors I’ve ever met has been an unforgettable gift. This isn’t just a comedy space—it’s a home for growth and real artistry. Thank you, Comedy Spot - thank you for the laughs, the shows, cool venue and stage to build a foundation of confidence and friendships!

This place always has fun, clever performance themes! I've never had a bad night here. Highly recommend for a great night out of laughs with your friends 😁

This place was great! Im eager to go back. Most of the stuff was really funny and I enjoyed the venue. It's also super cheap so if you don't enjoy part of the show it's no big deal and still 100% worth it.
