Superb experience with this online order. I received my eMTB via UPS yesterday. The bike was packaged perfect with lots of padding. I was able to handle a few assembly steps without any issues. If you know just a little about bikes, this isn't an issue for most. Fly Rides adjusted everything before sending it out, so I am glad I didn't have to spend time doing that. Thanks again for the good deal on the bike.
I purchased the 24 inch f play e-bike for my daughter. I will say the entire process from fly rides has been a nightmare. The bike came in broken to their shop during shipping . After waiting for the replacement part the bike was eventually shipped to me . The bike arrived and when unboxing I could hear somthing rattling around in the box. I am not sure if it was mondraker or fly rides, but they over tightened all of the linkage bolts causing one to snap off. In fact , all of the linkage bolts were way ever tightened and stripped. I had to bring the bike to a mondraker dealer 2 times to get bolts extracted which caused damage to the frame. Also it took forever to get the replacement bolts. They even cross threaded the water bottle bolts into the frame. Fly rides did everything they could to avoid taking the bike back and still have not paid for all the local shop repairs stating that because the frame was scratched during one of the broken bolt extractions they would not cover it. When I tried to return fly rides tried to make me pay for shipping and tried to charge me a re stock fee of $400 They still owe me $120 and that doesn’t count for all the miles I drove. When I spoke with them they literally spoke to me like I was an idiot. Honestly like I wanted to be complaining about bolts that were over tightened. The owner would not speak with me either. I filed a complaint with mondraker and still have not heard a word. I am not an online basher and I want businesses to do well. All I wanted was to ride with my daughter. We are still currently without a bike. Buyer beware is all I am saying. Yes they come up first in your google search , but they are terrible company with poor customer service. Buy from a local bike shop!!! This is the type of stuff that puts companies out of bussiness.
Found Fly Rides through someone a met while riding. I contacted Will at the shop and we talked about what I was interested in. He suggested a bike other than what I was looking at but they would have to order them. They came in sooner than expected and we set up a date to pick them up. When we arrived at the shop my wife and I met Will and he turned us over to his set up guy Noah to be fitted to the bikes. Noah really took his time with both of us setting up and explaining the functions of the bikes. It’s been a long time since I’ve had such good customer service. We both had a great experience dealing with Will and Noah. It was well worth the drive from Orange County to Poway.
