I stopped by Seattle Plant Daddy specifically to look for Marimo moss balls, which have been difficult to find elsewhere. They had a solid selection in stock, and the one I purchased was healthy and in good condition. The staff was knowledgeable about care instructions and helpful without hovering, which I appreciated. The shop itself has a distinct setup compared to a standard nursery, to be sure. Great that the space serves multiple roles in the community.
Plant Daddy is officially my new… Plant Daddy. 😂 I got this ace of spades for 40 bucks which is honestly insane. Twice the pot size, triple the leaves and literally half the price as the other shop I’ve been going to. Thank you for keeping this hobby so adorable. 🫶🏻
This shop has the most amazing, beautiful, and HEALTHIEST indoor plants I’ve ever seen! My past rare-philodendron-loving self would have exploded. Definitely a shop for the collectors. But they also have wonderful classic specimens. Thank you for my beautiful variegated spiral ginger with it’s new pot & trellis❤️ will definitely be back!
A couple months ago I went over to Plant Daddy to try to find an anthurium clarinervium. There was a nice little specimen there for a reasonable cost, so I purchased it. I repotted it into my favorite container with a soil recipe that I found online. The bottom leaves began to look stressed so I brought the plant back for suggestions. The owner was great, helpful. He said my container was too large and showed me the mix that he uses for plants like this. So I paid him for a new smaller recommended container and he repotted it in the shop for me. He also told me the best lighting condition for it. Within a week or so I got a new leaf out of the center, which is now the biggest one on the plant. I am so happy with my Anita Anthurium Clarinervium.
I love this shop! I have purchased about 10 plants from them and they are all happy and thriving. Great selection, from traditional plants to rare and exotic. Owner takes time to answer all my silly questions and educate me about plant care etc.
