Very unprofessional staff with regards to scheduling a two day event for 400-550 people. We requested a separate tasting for each event and they refused to accommodate. Said our only option was to pay 4x as much for one tasting. The one tasting would have been less food than two separate tastings but they wanted to charge $100 per head. Jumping your prices 4x when the amount of food has less than doubled is absurd. There’s no reason why two separate days of events couldn’t have two tastings. Almost wishing I had my husband coordinate one day and me the other; but at this point it’s obvious Selma’s didn’t want this massive job for one reason or another. They were so excited and accommodating at first, then it just felt like they figured we’d pay so they could charge whatever they wanted. Very unprofessional and unethical.

Incredibly frustrated with this company. They were not organized at all. They did not have pricing prepared. I felt like I had to milk any and all information out of them. Every interaction felt unprofessional and as if they did not know anything. Pricing felt made up when I did get it from them on food. It was then typed on spreadsheets WE prepared. Tastings jumped in price. It went from $25 a plate to $100 when we asked to do two separate tastings. Mind you, we were going to hire them for 2 separate days. A wedding event with 500 people. They refused to let us do two tastings. Instead said we could do it all at once and the price was going to jump to $100 even though what was picked was within their parameters. The excuses did not make since at all when I questioned it. I have worked with several catering companies and never have I been this disappointed and frustrated. I consulted other companies on the behavior and lack of information and they all found it unprofessional too. Selma's seemed promising, however, it is not.

Place is great.top notch service Richard the bar tender is top notch he did a fabulous job at our event this weekend and I highly recommend him at any event!

Selma's Catering provided delicious food for our wedding a couple of weeks ago! Kim and her team are super easy to work with and you can taste the love for their craft in each bite. All the guests absolutely loved the food options. There was plenty of food for people to even get seconds! Additionally, Kim was willing to work with us to align with our budget and was super transparent during the planning process. I appreciate her always responding to my millions of questions. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because the catering team felt a little discombobulated during the wedding day. We requested that guests are not given beer cans directly, but we saw many guests with multiple cans at their table; the knife for the cake cutting was not prepared and we were not informed that we needed to provide that (if that was the case); and some of the staff members were taking plates a bit too early when people weren't finished with their meals (this was a complaint stated to me by some guests). Overall, the food was delicious (I cannot emphasize that enough!), Kim did a great job making our alcoholic signature drink (everyone loved it, we actually ran out!!), and they were flexible and easy to work with. I recommend Selma's Catering for your next event!!

Selma’s Catering completely blew us away!!!! 10/10!!! I got married on 7/6/24 and people are still talking about the food days later! Their team went above and beyond for us, helped us craft the perfect menu that we were so excited about! Worth every penny and I even had leftovers (so crazy) that fed us for a couple DAYS afterward (much needed to recover lol). Their manager Kim is an absolute GEM and was so quick to reply to any of the changes or add on’s I wanted to make to the menu. The tastings were so fun. I loved supporting this local business & was SO impressed by how smooth everything went day of the wedding. They worked closely with my venue and our planner and we were heaped with compliments at the end of the night. Hats off completely to the Chef - his beef tenderloin game was UNMATCHED. I won’t ever use another caterer than Selma’s! I didn’t get many food pics but attached one from a guest! Beef tenderloin not pictured 🥹 these sides taste like your memaw made them from scratch and brought them over (no exaggeration lol THAT GOOD!) go ahead and do yourself a favor and book them for your wedding 🥰
