Don’t order online! Ordered online and sat outside for 30 minutes before getting my order. Watched 8 people order at the window and get their order within 5 minutes. Had to go ask what was going on before they finally made my order. Don’t have an online ordering system if you’re not going to pay attention to it.
This place was cute and quaint. Only standing room to order. Outside seating was available, but more so for waiting and not actually eating. Food is ordered inside the store and then your name is called and you exit to the right to pickup your order. I ordered a fruit salad topped with yogurt, nuts, and honey. Delicious! The man that prepared my fruit salad executed it with care and precision. I also ordered a pineapple and orange agua fresca. Absolutely delicious and fresh. Sugar is added to the agua fresca.
Was really great to find this "oasis" in San Diego, where we were able to order excelent fresh juices and smoothies. Highly recomended. You place your order and they will make it from fresh fruits, right in front of your eyes.
edit, deleted original: unfortunately the more you frequent a business, the more you see the real sides to it. disappointingly, this one does not pride itself on retaining customers. I get about 4-6 bowls a month from this place after yoga, more when I’m with my sister. the last time, I ordered two bowls and took them to trolley barn park with my sis for a date, it’s 3 minutes away and we do this often and don’t have this experience. both bowls were melted from the first bite, but I didn’t call or come back because we only had about an hour together so I took pictures knowing I frequent this place so often and we spent our time together. today, I came back in and showed the lady at the register the pictures and videos and kindly shared my experience and asked if a manager could comp today’s bowl. she said she could ask the manager but because I didn’t call, they might be able to do a discount. absolutely no accountability, no apology, nothing that would make the situation better but placing the onus on me because I didn’t call that day or “come back.” when she came back she said the same thing, no manager came, and she offered me 20% off. I purchased two melted bowls with extras like hemp seeds but was asking for one regular bowl to be comped, she said “I believe you, but açaí melts and because you didn’t call, I only have a discount for you.” again, putting the onus on me instead of owning their mistake and making it right and being condescending with the “açaí melts.” honestly, it was her demeanor that turned me off the most, this wasn’t my first time with a less than ideal bowl but a kind person at the register or decent customer service can make up for anything. I asked her if she was willing to lose a repeat customer over it, and clearly they are— I declined the 20% and left, and I’m very disappointed in today’s interaction.
This had to have been one of the best açaí bowls i’ve had in a while. there was a line when we showed up, and understandably so! super fast service, extremely nice employees, delicious food. can’t ask for much more than that!
