I was excited to try a salad with all these other fried food options. Unfortunately, the salad was disappointing. I had the porkie pear pleasure. Cons: hard and large pieces of kale, small portions of pork and cheese, one note flavors, smallish portion, slow service. Pros: none.
I was so thirsty at Klyde Warren Park this weekend and with their suggestion I got a large strawberry lemonade. It did not let me down. I would definitely try a new flavor next time and get a salad. They were friendly and helpful with my order. I love all of the food truck options. It’s always hard to choose. The line wasn’t too long for lunch but there was a steady flow of people.
Like some of the other reviews on here, there is a lack of attention to detail. I had the pork salad and it was very tasty, and a perfect portion for the price. As far as the details, the pork wasn't cut well and I bit into a couple of small bones. There was one brussel sprout in the whole salad. And the pear was cut in a way that had core and seeds included so I had to recut it. Maybe there needs to better light on the truck or someone that cares about the quality of the food they're preparing.
This was my first time ordering from this food truck and I ordered the honey zest salmon salad. It was delicious but a touch on the salty side for the salmon. I enjoyed my meal and the serving was pretty hardy for an $8 salad. My co worker who also ordered here for the first time loved her salad as well. I loved the convenience of having seating in the area where the food trucks lined up. Definitely plan on arriving a bit early if ordering around lunch time to beat the lunch crowd.
This place has some seriously good food, while still being very healthy! I got the cilantro lime fajita wrap with mushrooms, and it did not disappoint. Plus, the employee was friendly, the service was quick, the prices weren’t too bad ($8 for wraps and $10 for bowls), and the portion sizes were great! They also have plenty of vegetarian, and even some vegan options! Also worth noting that this place is black owned, so that’s yet another plus! Even if you’re not the kind of person who normally likes salads, you might want to check this place out! 😋
