I always make time to visit Sew Bonita whenever I’m in Corpus Christi — it’s truly a must-stop shop. The owners are always so friendly and welcoming, creating a space that feels as joyful as it is inspiring. I often find myself giggling and smiling as I walk through the store, reminded of visiting my grandparents and the conversations we shared around their kitchen table. I’ve purchased so many wonderful gifts here — embroidered hair ties, Otomi coffee mugs, placemats, and culturally in-tune t-shirts and caps for my boyfriend. Their beautiful selection of imported Mexican textiles is always a delight to explore, and I leave every visit imagining new gifts and creative possibilities. A heartwarming, one-of-a-kind store that keeps me coming back every time!
Sew Bonita is an absolute gem! Sew Bonita is hands-down my favorite gift shop in Corpus Christi. The name is clever, but the store itself? Even better. This place is packed with personality — from hilarious t-shirts to adorable knick-knacks, fabric, stickers, magnets… honestly, you name it, they probably have it tucked somewhere in this little wonderland. What I love most is that it’s not one of those shops that carries just one type of thing. It’s a whole mix of everything fun, unique, and gift-worthy. Every time I walk in, I find something new — and I always walk out with the perfect gift for someone (and usually something for myself because, well, self-care). If you’re looking for a unique, memorable gift, stop searching and go straight to Sew Bonita. This place never disappoints. Five stars, easily.
This place is the best. If you grew up Hispanic, it’ll feel like a home away from home. Even if you didn’t, you’ll find the huge variety of gifts, from stickers, bags, apparel, and SO MUCH MORE! Sew Bonita is the most unique store that it’s always the first place I take anyone visiting from out of town.
Visiting from Dallas and wanted to find a local giftshop. This is NOT a tourist trap. Its a gorgeous boutique style, woman-owned shop perfect for keepsakes, souvenirs and gifts. The owner is super sweet too. Go see!
