Neary cut my toddlers hair yesterday. She was quick and made great suggestions. We will be back to see her friendly face. My son had a blast with the vehicle chairs. He got to test each one but waited patiently for his turn on the firetruck! Once his cut was done he got a balloon and a lollipop. 💙 This was his second hair cut and I think it went really great!
Julie was amazing. My son is 3, and haircuts have a 50% success rate. He’s either gonna cooperate or he isn’t doing it. After trying the chairs and not being successful she agreed to sit in the lobby chairs and cut his hair and she did a great job. I wish I had more to tip her for her kindness, her talents and the thoughtfulness she had with my son.
This place is if you don’t care about your kiddos hair. It’s not a place for getting your kiddos a professional hairstyle. I asked if she knew how to do ethnicity hair. She’s a nice lady (extra star for her being nice) BUT she doesn’t know what she is doing on a professional level for “styling”. She should have just said no I don’t know how to edge, fade or to do a French crop. I normally have his Tio do my sons hair. He wasn’t available so I tried this place out. I won’t be back 🤦🏽♀️ I asked for edging with a curve, fading into haircut (not a clear line) 🤦🏽♀️ & for it to be a French crop. (A bit long on top) Not like the model pic at all Also my sons hair is not thin. It’s thick for his age js 💅. My son doesn’t look correct. He looks like he has a chili bowl haircut.
My son has come to sharkey’s five or so times in the last two years, and wow i’ll let the pictures speak for themselves… Absolutely the last time here because honest to god, how do you take my kiddos perfect, long hair and turn it into this uneven, atrocious disaster?! Best part is, I had to work today so his grandparents took him to someone I booked him with, someone he has seen BEFORE, with several reference pictures and a request for no bowl cut bangs and no style changes that would accentuate his crown cow lick. Now my 3.5 year old looks like I took him to the crappiest great cuts alive and they decided to just shave off most of the hair from random places and butcher the “bangs” as well as the sideburns. This place is so expensive, and for what? To have your child go in public and be worried that people are gonna give you nasty looks because it looks like you let the most inexperienced person ever botch his hair? Seething. Never again. I PRAY his hair grows enough in the front quickly to at least get evened out somewhere else!
We had a wonderful experience at Sharkey’s ! My daughter got her first and absolutely beautiful haircut. The stylist (i totally forgot her name 😬) was gentle, patient, and truly skilled. Even though we had to wait a while for our turn, the staff went above and beyond by not charging us for the service as a gesture of kindness. In a world where good service can feel rare, this kind of generosity and professionalism really stands out. We are so grateful and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend this salon to anyone looking for quality care and a warm, welcoming atmosphere!
