I love how open and welcoming this store is. The physical layout is easy to walk into and around with your pets and human companions and gets good natural light. They have a great selection of food and treats including a refrigerated section and the prices are reasonable considering the area. The staff are kind and seem to genuinely like the animals visiting the store.

Actually the best pet store I’ve been to!! Everyone is so kind. Their dog wash stations are also incredible. Only $15 for access to a wash bay, numerous shampoo and conditioner options, a blow dryer, brushes and towels! They were so accommodating for our pup. Definitely will be coming back when we visit San Diego with our dog again.

I love this pet store! They have great quality products, but the prices are so reasonable for the brands you’re getting. They have a great selection of products. They also have great rewards on food and other products that track your purchases and then you get one free on the 13th purchase. Their staff is the best and very knowledgeable. One of their staff listened to me about stomach issues for my new puppy and recommended Nutrisource which I’ve used for about a year now for both my dogs. I buy everything from food, toys, cleaning products, everything there. It’s great to shop locally and if I’m ever really swamped they deliver. I had to return something once because the treats (I always buy) were hard and seemed wrong. They were so easy about it and in the exchange noticed their stock was the same batch so opened and checked the rest. Everyone that works there is happy to see your pup and cares about them!

LITERALLY THE BEST SERVICE! I drove over 30 minutes to see sunset cliffs with my doggo, and of course as soon as I found parking I realized I left his leash and collar at home! Shore Thing Pet Supply had exactly what I needed to watch the sunset and enjoy my evening with no stress. Shane was there to help and even showed me how to use the leash I purchased! He is very knowledgeable, helpful, kind and created an amazing experience at this store. Quality purchase and quality service. Thank you so much, I’ll be “shore” to recommend my friends and others to shop here!

Shore Things is my absolute favorite pet store—hands down! The quality is amazing, the space is super clean, and everything—from the top-notch food selection to the dog washing stations—is thoughtfully designed. The self-wash bins are spotless and easy to use, and the prices are fantastic. They genuinely care and go out of their way to help. There are always treats out for the pups, and the team is warm, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about pets. I actually drive into Ocean Beach just to come here. It’s that good. If you're a dog parent who wants the best for your pup, this is the place. Can’t say enough good things about this amazing local business!
