From start to finish, the whole experience was completely professional, knowledgeable, expert, and kind. It's not easy emptying a storage unit in preparation for a move west to east. Moving a 91-year-old across the country with her most cherished belongings is not for the faint of heart. The stress for both my mom and me was intense, but Simplify & Move held our hands in exactly the right way throughout the process. Another company handled the move out of New York, but Simplify & Move came in to manage the unpack and setup once everything arrived in Los Angeles. From the start, the owner Cori collaborated with me and the packing team in New York so she understood what would be coming and what the job would entail. They even sent a team member to greet the movers when the boxes were delivered, which happened on a different day than the unpack. On unpack day they sent exactly the right team. A crew of five, plus an installer to hang pictures and TVs, transformed an empty apartment with little personality into a warm and comfortable home in just a few hours. What impressed me most was the thoughtfulness. They didn’t just unpack boxes, they created a home. Everything was placed intentionally so the space felt natural and easy to live in. They came prepared with bins, organizers, and containers so everything was truly turnkey from day one. Most importantly, they sent a stellar team of pros who were not only incredibly skilled but had fabulous personalities to match. They were warm, collaborative, and genuinely happy to work with us as my mom and I shared our preferences about where things should go. As a business owner myself, I understand what it takes to deliver exceptional service. Dear Cori, Karen, Annie, and Tammy, Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you have done for Samantha and me. What started as a decluttering and organizing project became something much more meaningful. Our house truly feels like a home again. The new energy in the house is incredible. My wife (a neatnik) and I (the opposite) recently decided to sell our 4 bedroom home in Cheviot Hills. We realized that we needed help in making our home’s interior less cluttered and more like it was prior to our moving in 12+ years ago. Over that period of time we accumulated a variety of “stuff,” most of which we placed in closets, cabinets, or on and in dressers. In my home office, much of my paperwork, mail, books and folders ended up on any surface that seemed to be available including the desk, couch, coffee table and floor. Truthfully, many people who saw my office thought it had been ransacked. Sadly, this phenomenon even extended to our garage. My daughter suggested that we call Cori at Simplify + Move LA. I was initially resistant, but fortunately, my wife prevailed. I am, I confess, a saver of all things that I own, including all photos, coin collections, and memorabilia from grammar school (that I attended 70+ years ago). Cori sent Annie and Karen to our home. I admit that I was frightened at idea that I would be forced to give up my “stuff.” They spent 5 days organizing, packing, donating, and discarding. In five days, they (with minimal help from me) made our home more attractive and spacious than I have ever seen it. Several people who have been at our home before commented how lovely and larger it looked now. I am embarrassed to admit that some of my closest friends had the audacity to look in my office and say, “I never knew you had such a lovely rug in your office…or any rug for that matter.” I could not have ever, ever done this myself (not even with my wife’s sage “advice and guidance”). Simplify + Move LA was an invaluable service.

Annie and Megan arrived at my house, and for 6 days helped me get rid of things I didn't know I had. I finally have empty shelves!! If a house can lose weight, mine lost about 2 tons.
