This restaurant has some of the best food in the Bay Area. Came as a large party of 6, and had incredible service. And luckily with such a large group, we were able to try so many dishes. Literally everything we had was amazing, but if I had to pick out just a couple of highlights … the scallop was a knockout. I’m not even a huge fan normally, but this dish was incredible, melted in your mouth good. The tuna was also fabulous … the fried chicken and biscuits was a WOW according to everyone at the table. And the chocolate cake, it’s a childhood dream cake. I loved everything about this restaurant. I’ll come back again and again.
Sirene is one of my favorite new(ish) restaurants in the bay! As an S.F. resident this spot is always worth the drive but I suggest brining a designated driver cause the wine list is off the charts! Come hungry and save room for dessert.
We had birthdays to celebrate. Our daughter wanted to dine here. We started with some appetizers: oysters, the terrine, mortadella, the lamb-uni dumpling, and fried anchovies with shishito peppers. We opted for their bread with fermented butter too. All delish! We all shared half a fried chicken and a whole petrale sole. Spectacular! For dessert we just had beignets and strawberry sorbet with chartreuse.
I almost don’t want to leave a review because I really truly love the cafe portion of Sirene (and I don’t want everyone occupying the space) It is the ideal place to complete work, whether laptop, journal or a casual soft conversation with another person. The coffee and pastries are precise and well done. Very good ! The staff are also amazing and warm each visit.
Made reservations a week prior for the Sunday Brunch. 5 stars! Hopefully they get some Michelin recognition soon because that's the vibe it was giving. Had the Gamay wine, chrysanthemum, uni toast, lobster terrine, crab omelette breakfast, sweet croissaffles, buckwheat doughnuts and passionfruit cookie. All the food was great! The portion sizes were great! Was in and out in less than an hour. The service was intentional and consistent. The lady who appeared to be an owner, let me taste the wine before pouring an entire glass. Every server was kind and worked very smoothly. Nothing seemed rushed or out of place. I love that they allow pets. The patio and indoor area is nice. I love the name on the steak knives and wine glasses. Love the seat cushions. Love the projector in the bathroom. The menu looks inviting and worth the visit. Everything went well, nothing negative about the experience. The music was at a good volume as well. It's pricy and worth it.
