This place was pretty much like the Room of Requirement from Harry Potter. A massive amount of things everywhere, from theatre displays, furniture, signage and so many doodads that you're going to need a half day at least! Will be back when it's warmer out. Bring a flashlight and your curiosity!
The most interesting thing about this place is the history of the owners. Please read and watch the videos. Upon seeing the picture of the building we knew we had to see what was inside and it didn't disappoint. Yes it's cold and some things are not for sale but it's great to see props that have been used in movies. The prices we received for the articles we did purchase were amazing. Yes you need to take photos and then show them but that sparked a conversation with the owners children who are truly wonderful people and great conversation. They let us browse without interruptions and for a good amount of time. The architectural salvage items and antique furniture are true gems. Cannot wait to go back.
Dress warm and plan to be there awhile to enjoy three floors of unique and interesting finds. Drove from Mississauga Ontario and was glad we did. If you are looking for architectural salvage (windows, doors or newel posts) this place had plenty. Mixed in and under stuff is some great antique furniture and plenty of solid wood bed rails which could be used for woodworking projects. Bringing a flashlight would definitely help. Love the animated decor on some of their items, keeps it very fun. Wonderful conversation and helpful travel tips by the owners.
Don’t go here to buy anything. Every floor is a maze with piles four feet deep to the walls making most items inaccessible. Nothing has a price labeled, half the items aren’t for sale at all, just for “decoration” The items that are “for sale” are priced ridiculously high, and made up on the spot to discourage you from purchasing them. The owner isn’t running a store, it’s a collection.
I found this cool place on a random search. It’s packed to the ceiling with treasures. The owner and daughter were so helpful, informative. My only issue was nothing is priced, we were told if we were interested in anything to take a picture of it and show them. Not everything is for sale. I the super cool place lends stuff out for tv studios. This shop is three full floors. That was cool to hear! I think this place should be a museum 💯 I would definitely come back and visit! I just wouldn’t come here expecting to find something and told no because it’s not for sale.
