James smithers was easy to work with, he said what he did and he did what he said. One of the very few contractors I've had who kept his time frame came in did the work and left the space as clean as when he found it. Showed pictures of the area that I couldn't see myself to ensure the job was done right. Communication was easy throughout the process. Very friendly staff. Would definitely recommend and use again.
James and his team were amazing! They were friendly, professional, communicative, and very attentive. We have been waiting forever to complete our dining room/kitchen and it was worth the wait. We're excited to team with Smithers Home Maintenance for our next project!
James was amazing to work with. He helped my wife and I with a total kitchen and half-bath remodel, as well as some light fixture replacements throughout the whole house. His communication, responsiveness and thoroughness were above and beyond our expectations. He communicated with us if anything came up during a job that needed our input and would ask questions that helped us make decisions when needed. He can do it all. He did electrical work, (light replacements and dimming); he disposed of old cabinets, did drywall repairs, installed faucets and garbage disposal, and replaced appliances. He did painting work (including detailed trim) and installed everything in our bathroom from new toilet to vanity, faucet, lights, mirror, etc. He even built custom beadboard for the bathroom. He has an attention to detail and make things right attitude. He worked very well with other contractors that we were working with. Honestly, if we had known how thoroughly and expertly he would complete projects, we would have hired James and his team to do more work for us during this project. We will be hiring James again in the near future for some additional projects!
10/10 recommended Smithers Home Maintenance. My bathroom sink cracked and started to leak (who knew that could happen) I reached out to James to get it swapped out and quickly realized I couldn’t find the correct size sink so I needed to replace the entire vanity and sink top. He arrived on time, installed the new vanity, sink and faucet. Checked for leaks and cleaned everything up. Before leaving he asked me how it looked and if I was satisfied, it looked great. I will book again for future projects. Thanks Smithers!
Smithers Home Maintenance beautifully restored our crumbling, original Mid-century bathroom. The pictures speak for themselves but what's harder to show is how communicative, efficient, hard working, conscientious and kind James and his team were. From start to finish, James and his team tackled it all-- cast iron tub removal and replacement, crumbing pink tile removal, plumbing upgrades, drywall removal and replacement, flooring, paint, fixtures, ceiling fan install, a complete bathroom re-build. The finishing is impeccable. We couldn't be happier and now have a new favorite room. We will use Smithers Home Improvement for all of our future project needs! 1000 out of 10 stars!
