I love the experience of bringing Hootie to Sol Dog Lodge. It feels so other worldly, as though I've left Marana and traveled far out to the country. The spacious serenity of lodge, the kind and welcoming staff allay any concerns I have about leaving Hootie in their care. Hootie has no concerns about charging into the facility, and he and his 90 lbs often get away from me, and the excellent staff take it in stride, which is very kind of them. The grooming and care he's received have also been excellent. As well as being a large golden retriever, he'll be 10 in December, and the staff is conscious of his achy joints, particularly that right rear hip. They shower him with love and gentleness and loves them right back. I'm grateful to have found Sol Dog Lodge and entrust Hootie's care to them completely. I hope every dog finds their way there.

We adopted a dog in March from PACC. He had been in The shelter for some time. In June we started training with Kim at Sol Dog. What a great experience. The pup and I both look forward to the training sessions and leave with a sense of accomplishment. Rip and I have a ways to go in some areas and we will continue with our work but there has been so much improvement under Kim’s guidance, training and advise! We both love it.

SolDog Lodge is 'da bomb. To compare SolDog to the various local "dog daycare" centers is apples to oranges. The others are similar to a child's daycare: you send them to play, eat meals and take naps with adult supervision. SolDog is more akin to kindergarten: you send them to learn their letters, practice good manners (play nice, wait your turn, etc), and listen to the teacher all while having FUN! This is SolDog. I have a 3 year-old Dutch Shepherd who I trained beginning at 4 months of age. She's a smart, high energy, athletic dog, who is hit or miss when it comes to playing nice with other dogs, maybe because protection is in her DNA. Nevertheless she gets lots of play with the staff - who she LOVES - all while re-enforcing good dog rules. When we turn onto Tangerine she gets crazy exited because she knows where she's going. When I pick her up she is happily tired. SolDog employees love all the dogs and use best practices when it comes to safety. You can take your pup to SolDog and know it's in the best human hands possible. Two paws up to SolDog!

We bring our golden retriever here for grooming services. They don’t keep him longer than they need to and they always do a really nice job. Stress-free atmosphere and smiling faces to greet you. The new facility is beautiful!

There are not enough stars to recommend this place!!! We have tried doggy boarding before with our very high-energy, heavy separation-anxiety-having, kinda-shy-super-crackhead dog (cattle dog/ retriever blend). And we’ve not had great success because of his energy and need levels. So we were nervous to try Sol. But once we did, all fears were gone! The amount of energy and love they pour into these dogs to give them an individualized experience is TOP-NOTCH. We have done Tier 2 boarding three separate times now for 1-4 days at a time. Each time, they send us daily pics and updates, which are just lovely. The best part is how MUCH they tired this little guy out! They do all his favourite activities—and then some—and he gets SO HYPE whenever we pull into the parking lot now. They cater every dogs’ meals to their needs. They have freezers for food, too, which is great. And there’s AC and enclosed outdoor kennels. 10/10!
