Matt was the DJ for our wedding just a couple of weeks ago, and everything was fantastic! Matt met with us several times over the months leading up to the wedding to help manage a timeline and answered all of our questions, even up to the last minute. Matt genuinely felt like family come the day of the wedding. And he was a major role in our success for the day!
We worked with Sound Productions DJ & MC Service for our September wedding. Leading up to the big day, Matt Martinez was very responsive and professional, assuring us we were in great hands and even advising that we didn’t need to hire a day-of coordinator because his team would handle everything smoothly. Our pre-wedding meetings with him went well, and we felt confident going into the event. Unfortunately, the experience on the actual wedding day did not live up to those expectations. While Matt was not able to personally be there, we were told DJ Ray would provide the same high-level experience — but that was not the case. The timeline we provided was not followed, names (including ours) were mispronounced during introductions, and there seemed to be a lack of coordination and crowd engagement throughout the evening. Several key moments, including our first dance and cake-cutting songs, were incorrect, and the guest trivia activity we planned was mishandled. On a positive note, Phil and the photo booth team did a fantastic job — our guests loved them! However, after the event, we reached out via email to share our feedback and unfortunately never received a response. Overall, while the company showed strong communication and professionalism before the wedding, the execution on the day itself and lack of follow-up afterward left us disappointed.
Matt was incredible! Not only is he a "DJ" but he's in a way an additional wedding planner. He brings to light SO MANY little details you might never consider, communicates clearly, gives clear deadlines, and he runs a tight ship - something I can now say is essential during the craze of a wedding day. He even went out of his way to find/collect music that my brides family would enjoy! You won't go wrong booking Matt & Sound Productions DJ service for your wedding.
Matt was so awesome we are complete noobs and setting up our wedding was a lot of work, but Matt was there every step of the way. He made sure nothing was forgotten and he kept everything in order with out us having to worry about it he was even able to help me with playing some songs on my guitar for my wife. If you need a DJ for any event Matt is your guy.
We had the best time working with Matt & Ray! They are super organized and really work with you to make sure your day is exactly what you want! Music is so so important and I cannot reccomend them enough for the job they did. They truly helped with the vibes throughout the day as well as helping with announcements and the flow of events. Once the party started, it didn’t stop! Ray killed it with the party music - I never left the dance floor! We had so many guests tell us how awesome DJ Ray was and I couldn’t have agreed more! They are really great and we had the best night!!!
