The five stars are warranted. This was my first time booking with the salon, the staff were very accommodating, and the place looked really nice. Stephen took his time to go over the process with me, explaining what he'd need to do to get the cut I wanted, and took my hair texture into consideration, which is surprisingly rare from my experience.
Loved the whole experience of my haircut with Stephen. He was very professional, a great conversationalist, and did a fantastic job creating the look I wanted. The salon also has a perfect balance of elegance and coziness. It's one of the rare finds!
First time at Stephen Doran and I will be back! Love, love, love my hair. From arrival until departure the staff are welcoming, friendly and professional. I ordered a Caesar Salad to eat while having my hair done and it was delicious. Tea was also flowing (I like my tea) They consulted me on my colour before proceeding (thanks Samantha) and the colour choice was spot on. My cut was amazing (thanks Fiona), talked through to make sure I was happy...even with my whole fringe/no fringe dilemma. I left being the happiest I have been with my hair in a long time. Worth every penny. You are all superstars. I'll most definitely be back. Thanks so much!
I have had the same hairdresser for 8 years and due to a move I had to find a new stylist / salon. I was really nervous and must have called over 50 places till I thought I really liked the look to Stephen Doran and I live really close by had always seen it busy and full of people I decided to book in. What a fantastic decision I’m so glad I did. I booked in with Samantha. I had a chat with her prior to coming due to some extra needs I have and she was so comforting and understanding. The day of my appointment everyone is the salon just had such a good non judgy vibe. It’s clean yet has such a warm feeling and i just felt so comfortable. Samantha did my hair so lovely and I felt great I’d found somewhere I felt I could trust and come to. I ended up feeling my colour was a bit light but getting I touch with Samantha about this and getting it easily sorted was such a breeze and she was so lovely about it. Also have to mention although I never had an appointment with Stephen the owner he is such a friendly out going and easy to talk to person. You can really tell he values his team and especially his clients and his manner is just so kind and humble. This stood out to me especially. Thank you guys for being so welcoming and kind. Thank you Samantha for my hair I love it! I’m glad I’ve found a place I can come to for the future and it really was a pleasure xxxx
Visiting this salon is such a wonderful experience. From the moment I walked in, I am welcomed with a lovely coffee and biscuit. Tracey takes the time to understand exactly what I want and makes great suggestions and ideas she knows will suit me.The cut and style were done with real precision and artistry from Stephen. I left with hair that looked even better than I imagined—fresh, flattering, and easy to manage. What impressed me most was how attentive and genuine the service was. No rush, no pressure—just pure professionalism and care. I’d absolutely recommend this salon to anyone looking for talented stylists and an overall great experience.
