Stoneman climbing is such a great time for beginner and experienced climbers. I really appreciate how flexible they were with scheduling. Our guides Tara and Aaron were the best, they made us feel so comfortable and really helped motivate us to get out of our comfort zone too. Even though we had a fear of heights this was still such an amazing experience one that, we would like to do again someday.
My 12 year old daughter and I scheduled a half day of climbing with Stoneman. The scheduling team was helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. They were attentive to the details of our trip and were generally fun to chat with. Our guide, Neil, was fun to climb with and knew the area quite well. He assessed our climbing level and listened to our goals for the day. We had a generally great experience and fun day out :).
Neil made my climbing experience truly special during my short stay in Phoenix, and I couldn’t have asked for a better guide! From the start, he clearly paid close attention to my questionnaire and skill level, then adapted our climbs based on what he observed and how my confidence grew along the way. Thanks to him, I felt like a true adventurer taking on multi-pitch routes in the incredibly beautiful McDowell and Camelback mountains. What stood out most was how naturally Neil boosted my confidence, encouraging me to trust my abilities and recognize the skills I already had as a climber. I’m truly grateful for the experience and can’t wait to climb with him again on future trips to the United States.
I cannot rate Stoneman Climbing and my guide Neil high enough. I contacted them on a last-minute business trip to Phoenix and they accommodated a next morning rock climb of the Praying Monk at Camelback Mountain. It didn’t look available online, so I called and they were extremely helpful and accommodating. They gave me all the information I needed the day before, including where to meet and what to bring? The day of the climb my private guide, Neil, was absolutely amazing. It was my first real rock Climb and he made sure that that I had all of the right equipment and knowledge to make me feel safe and like I knew what I was doing. He answered all of my questions throughout the day and went at my pace even working in an extra extra climb at the end since we had a little extra time. Neil took pictures throughout the day that he shared and was really helpful and made sure that I learned the appropriate way to do things. So happy I got to check this off the bucket list and learn a new skill. If you’re thinking about rock climbing, and are an avid hiker or climber indoors and on the fence, do not hesitate, go ahead and book with Stoneman Climbing Co. You won’t regret it!
Second climb with Stoneman Climbing this year. As always, they deliver well planned trips and solid education. Really enjoyed my time with Neil, learned a ton and had a blast.
