Tom was amazing to work with from beginning to end. He's extremely knowledgeable and personable, and found exactly the flooring we were looking for. He helped us make informed decisions about what to install where and was very upfront about which parts of the project might be challenging (the transition to the fireplace) and what we could do if we wanted a more budget-friendly route—including recommending alternative companies. The work turned out spectacular, and even the difficult areas were top-notch. I'm still in awe of how clean and seamless the transition to the fireplace is! Tom also offered to bind our old carpet into a stair runner free of charge. On top of all that, when there was minor damage to the flooring a year later, Tom got it fixed—no questions asked. He was extremely patient with our scheduling issues too. I absolutely recommend Strauss Carpets for all your flooring needs.

We have worked with Straus carpets in the past and have always been happy with the service and product. We recently did a partial remodel of our upstairs which required us to replace our carpet and stair runner. Tom (Straus) and his team did the most incredible work! Tom was very patient helping me pick a carpet that felt elevated and more design-focused, while staying within budget. To achieve this we landed on a lower-cost Anderson Tufex in the bedrooms (Abbey Road in Fairy Wings) and a higher-end Prestige (Sonnet in Royal/Cornflower) in the hall and on the stairs. The installation was fast and easy, even with furniture in all the bedrooms. They were detail oriented, kind and hard working. I would HIGHLY recommend Straus Carpets for your home!
I have a one bedroom apartment in need of having gross carpet removed and new LVP installed. I received quotes from several companies but chose to go with Straus Carpets. Tom Straus came out to measure and discuss options, he really understood what I was looking for and only needed to show me 2 samples for my decision to be made. I also got all new baseboards. They dropped off the baseboards the week prior so I could pre-paint them. Floors were installed Monday the very next week. The installers were on time and very efficient. I love the way they came out. I would highly recommend Straus Carpets for your flooring needs.
As a Realtor I've been using Straus Carpets for years with my clients, but only recently did I have the opportunity to experience just how great they are personally. Tom and his team were fantastic start to finish. From educating me on the types of flooring that would work for my kitchen & bath to bringing out samples so I could see them in the space, and helping me determine the best type of carpet for my pet-loving household. I ultimately decided on an absolutely stunning herringbone engineered hardwood for my kitchen after originally considering vinyl. I could not be happier. The kitchen is the heart of the home and the flooring has made it even warmer and visually gorgeous. The installation team was professional and fast, getting the job done over Thanksgiving week to work in my schedule of other vendors and contractors. I could not recommend Straus Carpets more highly and I am very happy that I can now support my professional recommendations with personal experience.
