This place was outstanding and was part of a tour that we took to the Lower 9th Ward. After listening to the tour guide, walking inside made me emotional when looking at all the beautiful art from so many talented artists. There are no words to describe the atmosphere in this place. Others felt it too because we spoke of it. An amazing part of an insightful and educational tour.
I was moved! This is a moving experience! Thank you for all you do! I wish there was someone to share this type of inspiration with me when I was young! I felt God inside of here! Power, strength, wisdom, love! There's so much to see. I walked and looked at each exhibit. I started over and walked each one again, sitting, taking my sketchbook out and I sketched inside Studio Be! I felt famous for a moment at the age of 56💥 Before leaving, I walked a third time, and looked again, just taking everything inside that was on display!! Once I returned home, I sent pics that I took to a friend from Ghana that works at the State Department!!! I want him to take his son to see this in person when he's old enough to understand. Studio Be is a Blessing. Thank you for what you do and all you've do. I did get to leave a radical dream for an employee that lost her 7 yr old to gun violence. Justice for Zion is my radical dream🙏.
I travelled from Jamaica to New Orleans to visit StudioBE and it was well worth it. The art is so moving and so deeply inspiring. I felt a strong call to get involved in the welfare of my own community and the experience confirmed a long held belief of mine--art heals & art is revolutionary. Lots for me to reflect on in the coming days and weeks and months ahead. To know this was born from a time of struggle in New Orleans is even more inspiring for me as we in Jamaica face one of the most turbulent hurricanes we've had in our modern history. Thank you StudioBE! I will visit again ✨️.
A must see museum! It was my favorite museum that visited. To learn about the motivation and journey on how it was started was so encouraging.
We stumbled on this gem Saturday after having brunch at Justini’s. The exhibits are amazing. It is un air conditioned building as advised in their information. A fan and some cold water will help you make it through. On our walk over we saw all the outdoor art that some might consider as graffiti but this is truly art. Go visit. Here are just a few of the exhibits.
