Extremely poor customer service. Very little work actually was done for very high prices. Changes to their computer system resulted in a lot of difficulty scheduling windows for service, and unauthorized charges being put to my credit card on file. When I called I was given excuses multiple times that there was nothing they could do given the parent company that bought them out. I’ve had to initiate disputed charges claims with my credit card company as a result. I strongly recommend you don’t use this company based on my experience.
I contacted Suburban Pest for a small but persistent problem with silverfish bugs in my second floor inner bathroom. I advised the person with whom I set the appointment with that they were coming in through either the skylight or closet which had a very narrow opening. The technician, Nick, arrived totally unprepared for the job. I had to provide him with a ladder to access the high skylight, drop cloths (although he did take one of my towels to use!) , and a face mask to put on since I had been told that the product he wouId be using was so toxic that I would have to vacate the premises for four hours following treatment. I clearly showed Nick the problem areas pointing out the deep corners of the narrow closet that entrance was only about a foot wide. I unfortunately did not question how he planned to access the area using the small hand held pump that he brought. I did not personally watch Nick complete the job due to the presumed toxicity of the product used. I do recall though that he completed two bathrooms, as I had elected and paid to have both sprayed as a precaution, in less than five minutes total. After five days of seeing the same amount of silverfish bugs I contacted the company and was told that it would take up to fourteen days, otherwise I should call back after then. By the end of twelve days I had still not seen one bit of improvement, seeing the same amount of bugs every morning and night. I even hired a painter to come and caulk the skylight, which he did on the fourteenth day. On the fifteenth day, which happened to be a Saturday, I called back Suburban Pest after killing another two bugs that morning. I only received the answering machine and did not leave a message. I went to Home Depot later that day and was advised to sprinkle boric acid around the baseboards particularly in the closet. I was also told that any product used by the company would have shown some improvement by this long of a period. On Monday morning, the 17th day since I received the treatment, and still seeing bugs, I called Suburban again to express my concerns. The person whom I spoke with seemed appalled that I put out boric acid and said she probably couldn’t send anyone out again to spray because of this . I told her that I was not looking for a respray and expressed my concerns about the initial treatment, specifically questioning if he had actually even sprayed as I never saw any evidence of it, as well as the fact that I should have at least seen some improvement. I asked her if she could question her technician Nick about it. She responded with some excuse about her company getting new computer software and not having access to her notes. That was eleven days ago. I never heard from her ahain. I would never use this company again or recommend it. They obviously have something to hide.
I have been using Suburban Pest Control for the last few years. I have the home shield plan and I love it. They come out whenever I need them. They are timely and reliable. The best part is their professional technicians. I have dealt with many of them and sometimes I get the same ones. I know I can’t request a specific technician but if I could I would always ask for Vinny Merta. He always takes the time to tell me what he is going to do. Educate me on what pests are prevalent during the season we are in. Updates me on what he has discovered. Absolutely the best at getting rid of pests!

Contacted company regarding a rodent problem I was having under my porch. Paid money upfront for what I was told was going to be a total of three visits. Came out for the initial visit and set bait traps. Following the initial visit, did not hear from them for two weeks and ended up having to call them to get them to come back out. After contacting them, they did come out for the initially agreed upon three visits, but they did not add any value or expertise to my rodent problem. They even left a dead rodent three feet from a bait box that I had to clean up myself. Throughout this whole process, the company has not communicated well or effectively. In the end, the company was unable to confirm exactly what my rodent problem was (rat or mouse).
