When first inquiring about their services I was in a state of fear, lost had no idea how to help my child. Cassy and Erik and the team here at Sylvan have really gone above and beyond for my boy and I. They were both very informative about how the program works and how they would be helping him. Thank you so much for everything you have done for him! In just a few sessions I could begin to see his confidence get stronger I began to hear him say positive things about him self, we aren't out of the woods yet, but Sylvan has helped begin to be able to build a path in his learning thank you so much! Truly.

Our first interaction with Sylvan occurred decades ago. Before the days of “no child left behind”. As a Kindergartner, our son’s teacher threatened to hold him back due to his struggle with language. Annunciation, both while reading and speaking presented a challenge for him following several surgeries for hearing-related issues. The staff at Sylvan were able to deliver him the one on one attention his teacher was unable to. They collaborated with us and the school and in just a few short months, our son’s teacher threatened had surpassed his classmates’. He spent the rest of his academic career in the top 3%. We credit much of that to the fundamental love of learning Sylvan instilled in him. Last year, our granddaughter (a 2nd grader) was placed in a class for children who could not keep up with the standardized lesson plan. After working with the school’s councilor and tutors, we encouraged our son to enroll her at Sylvan as well. This summer we have seen tremendous growth in not just her academic performance but her overall confidence and social engagement as well! What they’re doing here at Sylvan works! We are grateful!

Sylvan Learning has helped my daughter tremendously in such a short period of time. She has already gained a ton of confidence. We are seeing improved test scores at school and an eagerness to learn! Erik has been so supportive and helpful from the very beginning. My daughter loves all the teachers she has worked with and is always excited to go every week. I highly recommend Plainfield Sylvan!
