We’ve been on over a dozen food tours up and down the East Coast, and without a doubt, Taylor from Tastin’ Round Town is the best guide we’ve ever had. She’s incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind—an all-around rock star when it comes to showing off her city. Taylor didn’t just take us to restaurants—she brought Memphis to life with fascinating stories about the city's history and even the streets we walked on. We explored Beale Street, sampling deep-fried burgers, gumbo, smoked wings, ribs, and (our personal favorite) fudge from Bealesweets—all made by passionate local restaurateurs. Taylor knows each one personally and isn’t afraid to hop behind the bar or kitchen line to help serve, which really says a lot about her commitment and connections. We also had the chance to meet several of the restaurant owners, each proudly sharing their history and stories with us. It made the experience feel more personal and meaningful. If you're heading to Memphis and want a true taste of the city with a guide who cares deeply about her community, don’t miss this tour. Highly, highly recommend!

We had an amazing experience on the BBQ Tasting Tour! Not only did we get to savor a wide variety of mouthwatering barbecue dishes, but we also got a fantastic overview of the city. Our guide Harper was phenomenal—super friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about the history of BBQ and the best local spots. The tour took us through the heart of downtown and we got to see some sights while enjoying the food. If you’re visiting, I’d definitely recommend doing this tour at the start of your trip. It’s the perfect way to discover hidden gems and get the lowdown on what to eat while you're in town. This tour was definitely our favorite part about our trip to Memphis!

Harper was our tour guide today and we absolutely loved his explanation of ribs and what makes them competition or family style. He had so many great stories about the history of Memphis I can't choose my favorite. And the best part of the tour was that we felt we got tremendous value. We ate great BBQ and went back to our hotel full, full, full. Book this trip early on in your stay in Memphis so you can fully use the list of restaurant recommendations they will provide after the tour. You won't be disappointed!

Road tripped to Memphis with my 15 year old and couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to Memphis! Harper was a great tour guide. Super friendly and knowledgeable not only about all things food in Memphis but learned so much of the history. Also, was neat all the different things he pointed out we would of had no idea about just walking along. The walking was just right, no complaints from the teen. Food was amazing everywhere we went, and we checked out 3 places he recommended outside of the tour over the next couple days(all great service and food!). I would recommend def to anyone new to Memphis, I would love to go on one of their other tours if I go back! Thanks Harper for helping us make sweet memories, it was Caleb’s favorite part of the trip!

Highly recommend the BBQ food tour! Definitely make sure you arrive hungry! We tried 5 different restaurants and some amazing fudge. Our tour guide Harper was so fun and knowledgeable! You can tell he really loves his town and Memphis food! Do this tour at the beginning of your trip because he will also give you tips and recommendations on other restaurants! Would definitely do this again!
