I’m very disappointed with the experience I recently had with Joseph Edge at The Tax Shoppe. I had previously used his services once before, and he seemed very nice and straightforward at that time. However, in my recent email exchanges, when I was simply asking a few questions about filing for my children while I haven’t been working, his responses came across as rude and dismissive. I wasn’t challenging him — I was just trying to understand my situation — but he made me feel like my questions were a bother. I rarely leave reviews, but I felt very let down by how unprofessional and discourteous the communication was this time. I expected more patience and respect, especially after being a returning client.

I've been with Joe Edge and The tax shoppe for nearly 30 years. They are excellent in there field. The staff is well trained, polite and professional. The Tax shoppe is who i recommend when asked about tax services.

I don’t understand how this place has one good review? I didn’t realize how bad this place was until I started doing taxes elsewhere. Like, better in every way I could imagine and more. I didn’t know all this time that getting prompt responses, being able to communicate with the CPA and not just the receptionist, being treated kindly, and being given great guidance and information are NORMAL? My mind was blown. Also special mention to the receptionist Kathy (who you will be dealing with 99.9% of the time) she is so rude, it’s like out of a movie. It’s like she uses every ounce of energy to sound as nasty and condescending as possible, it’s something you would have to hear for yourself to believe. I had her on speaker once in a room full of people and they burst out laughing because they were in shock/could not believe how unnecessarily rude she was, and I was like oh yeah it fascinated me the first time too. This place is truly special. Do yourself a service, and go literally anywhere else. And if you don’t like dealing with Karens, keep a healthy distance from Kathy. **EDIT: I’m sorry, WHAT are you talking about? Identity theft?? This is completely fabricated. You must’ve thought I would never see your reply, and that I would not come with receipts. I’ve attached a photo, and each folder marks one (unfortunate) year I’ve been doing taxes with The Tax Shoppe. Exactly what I mean when I say this place is special. As far as your story about a specific event, you are either lying or just confused, we’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and say it’s the latter. Part ~Trois~ Why are you lying? And giving weirdly specific, fabricated details? Why can’t you just read an honest review, and take constructive criticism and try to make your business better? Instead, you’re fighting with your previous clients in the google reviews. If this isn’t a perfect example of why you should look elsewhere, then I don’t know what is.

Heute bin ich zu Joe gegangen, nachdem ich zehn Jahre lang mit einem Steuerberater in Miami zusammengearbeitet habe. Ich war sehr nervös, jemand anderem zu vertrauen, aber ich habe beschlossen, den Sprung zu wagen, da wir nicht mehr in Broward wohnen. Ich habe The tax Shoppe über Google gefunden und die vielen großartigen Bewertungen gelesen. Ich habe auch die Jahre berücksichtigt, in denen The tax Shoppe schon im Geschäft ist. Es hat sich wirklich absolut gelohnt, den Wechsel zu machen, und ich werde nie zurückblicken. Wie sich herausstellte, berechnete mir mein vorheriger Steuerberater das Doppelte von dem, was ich heute zahle – und das nur, weil ich mich im letzten Jahr über die überhöhten Beträge beschwert habe und er sie daraufhin senkte. Außerdem hat er die Steuererklärung meines Mannes nicht ordnungsgemäß eingereicht, laut Joe. Ich bewerte The tax Shoppe mit einer glatten 10 und habe meinen neuen Steuerberater gefunden. Ich war in 30 Minuten fertig, was unglaublich ist. Sie halten ihre Termine ein. Großartiger Service und ich werde allen, den ich kenne, von The tax Shoppe erzählen. Extrem faire Preise. Vielen Dank, Joe, dass du dich so gut um mich gekümmert hast und mir gesagt hast, ich soll mich entspannen. Lol
