It's been a year since I've re-started my Computer Science degree at Century College and Jon has helped me work through challenging problems for my classes(Data Structures & Algorithms/College Algebra I). Anytime I hit a roadblock of something I don't quite understand, Jon breaks everything down to a super understandable way and has fun along the way. Regardless of your learning style, he tailors it specifically to you and if you don't get quite get something even after 1 or 2 examples, He will continue to break it down even further until you finally understand. I highly and strongly recommend Jon to anyone who is struggling with hard subjects like this. It can really make the world of a difference and give you some breathing room when you need it. Jon truly has a gift for not only teaching but also making hard subjects fun rather than frustrating. If your STEM teachers don't necessarily teach you the WHY behind certain concepts, Jon explains it perfectly and maybe even alternative ways to see the concepts. I look forward to working with Jon in future sessions!
Jon was amazing. I was in the first week of an accelerated online Deformable Mechanics class and was really struggling to grasp the material at the beginning of the class. I had reached out to Jon, and he helped me with very detailed explanations of my homework problems. He talked to me and devised a way to format his notes that were personalized to my needs and that helped me eventually get the grade I wanted in the class! His knowledge of college-level engineering problems and classes is outstanding! If you're hesitant about which tutor to go with, just go with Jon; you won't be disappointed!
Jon has been a life saver for my twins. They have been working with Jon since they were 14. He's not only a great tutor, but he has a unique talent with ADHD kids. He's understands how each kid works and gives them the confidence to take on the hard curriculum. He always brings a positive attitude to our home, and I often hear laughter coming from their sessions. We couldn't ask for a better tutor.
Jon has been an absolutely invaluable resource for our family! We started with him as one of my children needed some additional support with chemistry. After several sessions he actually recommended moving to an online course which was a game changer. My daughter was able to make the switch at semester and started working through the course with Jon and improved exponentially! This was not only advantages from a grade standpoint but also from a relational standpoint, as this took away an enormous amount of stress between myself and my child. My child loves the late night options that Jon offers since she's a night owl and in general, she really enjoys working with him. I see our family using him consistently for the years to come!
