Very frustrated I spent $78.00 for 2 hanging baskets (I cut the hanging part off) for my porch with full sun. The tag on both of them said full sun water only when dry. So when they both died I was confused. When I tossed them out, I saw the little planter tags in both shoved way down. Both plants really need sun and shade with a little bit of water each morning. Would have been good to know the truth. I don’t have a green thumb and rely on the tags that are on the hangers. Well all I can say is buyer beware, don’t believe the tag hanging on the plant, dig in its dirt for the real information if you purchase plants from this place.

My friends and I have the tradition of coming here every year on Opening Day together. It’s crowded, but they are very organized and check you out quickly and efficiently, and even have excellent traffic control. It’s usually a little cold to keep hanging baskets outside overnight in Wisconsin, but if you wait the best stuff will be sold out! They have huge healthy hanging baskets for $37, really nice quality, and an incredible selection. Great prices on vegetables too, and not a big variety, but everything I wanted.

I have been buying their hanging baskets for the last 13 years, and have always been blown away by the quality, beauty, and price!! I refuse to buy hanging baskets anywhere else in the Milwaukee/racine area anymore- these last the longest, are the fullest, and bloom from spring through fall. I have also bought many of their individual plants and have always been happy!!!

What an amazing place. The amount of flowers and hanging baskets are amazing. We've gone here for several years to get plants and haven't been disappointed. From the hanging baskets to potted plants, everything is exceptional. You can find multiple colors and sizes. Plants that droop over the sides from their sheer size to plants that shine in all their glory. You won't find anything dead or clinging to life. The employees are friendly and willing to offer a hand. Make sure you grab a cart on the way in. You're definitely going to need it.

I really enjoy going to Tehan Greenhouses every spring. It's a bit of a drive for me but absolutely worth it. In fact, if you didn't know it existed you might not know that it's open to the public. Parking is a bit of a nightmare when they're busy or if it's rained recently. Come early or come late or at least wait until it dries out. Everything is spread over a large area so be prepared to walk and make sure you grab a cart no matter what. If you decide you need one halfway through your trek it'll take a while to get back to the front. The flowers and plants here are absolutely gorgeous and worth every penny. There are local businesses and even other local garden stores that purchase their flowers to resell (at a higher price). Cut the middleman out and come right to the source. The hanging baskets are HUGE and last all summer. It's just peaceful to walk in the greenhouses sometimes and see the sea of color from all the flowers. Customer service isn't the best as it's next to impossible to find an employee out and about in the greenhouses. And by the time you do find one you're usually out of breath from walking so far. But if you know what you're looking for then definitely come to Tehan's for all your flowers and plants!
