The ArtsCenter, an der 400 Roberson St in Carrboro gelegen, ist eine vielseitige Veranstaltungsstätte mit einem Theater für darstellende Künste, einer Kunstgalerie und einem Veranstaltungsraum. Kritiker loben ein gemütliches, gut ausgestattetes Musik-Auditorium mit einem großartigen Soundsystem, einfachen Parkmöglichkeiten und einer Bar, die Speisen anbietet. Took the "Photography for Beginners" class with Heather - excellent choice! Covered all the material I thought I needed to know, and much more that I never would have guessed would be so helpful. Laid back atmosphere, easy and encouraging to try something new.
The Carrboro Arts Center is a great asset to the community to reach a wide variety of people with a wide variety of artistic outlets. Every class so far has been well planned and executed. The only reason I left off a star was the challenge I have to find classes that fit my work schedule but I understand. That won't keep me from finding ways to make it work. I look forward to the next offerings.
I've had a great experience with the photography program at the ArtsCenter in the last year. I've participated in two classes (Getting to Manual and Lightroom) led by Heather Craig and a critique session led by Heather and Barbara Tyroler. Heather is a wonderful teacher - very knowledgeable, helpful and supporting. Heather and Barbara both gave great feedback on some of my work during the critique session, helping we see where I need to further develop my skills. The ArtsCenter is a great facility and is well equipped for this kind of instruction. I'll be going back for another class later this year. 100% recommended.
Tyler is amazing! They were extremely helpful, patient, and invested in our experience. I was just visiting from the West Coast and I’m excited to check this place out again when I visit again. I laser etched one of my most precious possessions and the process was so cool to watch! They have a bar, you can bring food, you’re encouraged to ask questions and just have fun! Highly recommend!
Cute little arts center with small music auditorium with great sound system. Listened to Les Trois Chats (local jazz) and Scandimonium (Nordic Folk, and so cute to see them dance) back to back with a 30 min intermission during the Carrboro music festival all around town. Super nice staff, easy center parking so skip all street parking by the bars and restaurants. Bit hot inside but hey free.
